Sehr schönes Haus.Wir haben ein kleines Tisch zu 4 in einem dunklen kleinen Raum bekommen.Wir wollten gerne in dem Raum daneben sitzen der komplett leer war doch die Bedienung meinte das sie heute alleine wäre und nicht überall hinlaufen könnte.Dann haben wir unser essen bestellt.In 5 min kam es an komplett kalt ganz wenig Reis und ein kleines Stück Ente mit zu viel Kokossuppe für 16 Euro.Bestellt hatten wir 2 Enten einmal Garnelen,ein Reisgerricht mit Huhn leider konnten wir nicht alles aufessen weil das essen ziemlich kalt war.Ich glaube es war nicht frisch gekocht.Ungefähr nach 40 min haben wir bezahlt und waren dann gegangen.War sehr schade.Es gibt aber bessere Möglichkeiten zum Tai esse...
Das Ambiente und die Lage der Zenbar sind super. Leider ist es innen sehr laut, was unterhalten fast unmöglich macht. Aussen sitzt man sehr schön, mitten in der Altstadt. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich. Ich kenne die Zenbar seit Jahren und es war früher mein Lieblingslokal in Erlangen. Mein letzter Besuch war leider sehr entäuschend. Ich hatte eine Ente mit Wokgemüse bestellt. Das Gemüse im Pommeswellenschnitt, war ok. Die Ente schmeckte alt, war zäh und die Haut weichgekocht schwer zu kauen und schwappelig. Auf Anfrage bekam ich die Auskunft, wenn man sie knusprig möchte, muss man dies extra sagen????? Es war im Großen und Ganze ganz passabel, dafür aber zu teuer.In Erlangen gibt...
Zen has some fantastic Thai food and an extensive drink menu. The room upstairs by the bar has a nice relaxed vibe and the expert bartenders whip up some great cocktails. They definitely make the best gin martini in town. We started with the ZEN Ruamit which consisted of some surprisingly light tempura fried vegetables and melt-in-your-mouth wantons. For our entrees we tried the Pad-Kie-Mau and the Phad Nam Prik Pao with Thai Duck. On one of the coldest nights of the year so far, the spicy deliciousness of both dishes ended up being the perfect comfort food.
Very poor example of thai food. I Had green curry with chicken. The coconut milk was watery and not rich. It had been cut heavily with chicken broth. No depth of flavor at all. It was spicey. My wifes dish was a stir fry type dish. The only flavor was salty soy sauce. The chef here has no understanding of the depth and complexity of thai food. Its too bad. The building is gorgeous and is a nice setting. I will not be back.

В Эрлангене довольно много мест, где можно посидеть, но Zen очень неплохое место. Если вам надо посидеть с друзьями иди коллегами в центре города на улице и пропустить за разговором пару стаканчиков чего-либо, то вам сюда. Работает до поздна, официанты не зависают. Вечером все красиво подсвечивается. Рекомендую!
Friendly fast service! English menus available. Huge menu! The food was fantastic. I had some of the other guys I was with to try and I had a sour sweet curry chicken dish, #54 I believe. Stop in and try, you won't be disappointed.
This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants of all time. This is a must visit for me, when I am in Erlangen. The menu is extensive, so is the drink menu. They have the best mojitos.

Nice atmosphere, good food and cocktails. They should hire more people as there weren't enough employees for the size of the restaurant.
