We used to go to Zenya all the time before they renovated the place. Went there last week and ordered tan tan ramen with the $3 salad and takoyaki side. My partner ordered shoyu ramen. The tan tan ramen arrived and we had to wait...for another 15 minutes for the other ramen to be served. We ended up sharing the tan tan ramen and pused it back and forth across the table as we were hungry and don't want the ramen to get cold. We were regular customers of Zenya for over 10 years. They have done a renovation which has made it more spacious by moving the kitchen to the back of the building, new comfortable seating and the design reminds me of sitting in an aircraft hanger....We decided to try it out for dinner- we ordered Teriyaki chicken bento box, wagyu bento box, kaisen chirashi sushi and a Shio ramen. They all came out fairly quickly. The bento boxes are new and the rice sits in a compartment- much smaller than serving separately in a rice bowl.The ramen was tasty. Taste was fine. I visited this twice, and the first time I had terrible experience was bad enough, since eating was much too salty and how my own and my friend reacted to certain spices and eating the staff asked no one knew what was in the food and how I had eaten the nude, it was more of Chinese nude. nothing with Chinese food. but if they cook Chinese, they should call them Chinese nude. when I heard that the owner changed like that, he visited again. it seems that all employees were Chinese. had English menu, but spoke to us Chinese, and the food was slow. the nudel of my man came 10 minutes after our order and my came as 15 minutes after meeting my manne so we sat the same table, but we ate separately....

Recently renovated interior, same great ramen. A good selection of ramen broth to choose from. The hakata ramen was delicious. Can cater for kids with their mini ramen. They also offer udon, some sushi/sashimi, bento and the regular sides one might expect from Japanese cuisine...eg. Tempura, karaage, agedashi tofu. Reasonable value ramen specials are under $10, non specials range up to $15. Satisfying!
We went to this restaurant last night and we are very disappointed. The ramen we ordered, the pork on top is cold. The sushi rice was dry and tasted like half cooked. The sushi fish was not fresh at all and you can tell this...when they served it. End up we couldn’t even finish the sushi despite we were super hungry. Never ever go back again.
The interior and staff are lovely. Came here under the impression that this place was run by Japanese people, but it's run by Chinese people. I ordered a curry dish, and it was quite watery? The prices are fairly decent and the service was nice too.
a well-located restaurant near the railway station. great atmosphere in which felt very new. the food was very delicious. a large menu that you can choose. good price. the personal was not Japanese, but Chinese. will come back

Food was so salty and bad. I think years old children could do better job and wait staff was so bad not going to go back! Not worth it! And I so want to give minus stars!!
