I hadn't been to Zest since before the Covid lockdown, not because of any negative experience, but simply because there are many dining options where I live. However, last night (04/11/23) we decided to stop by, and I can't believe I waited so long to return! The waitstaff were fantastic, the restaurant was clean and well-spaced, and the food... Oh my goodness, the food was incredible. Personally, I have to say that the Rogan Josh was the best I've ever had, by far. The rest of our group of 8 enjoyed dishes like Chicken Shashlik, Chicken Biriyani, Mixed Grill, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Balti, Jalfrezi, Mild Curry Sauce (with mixed grill), as well as Naan Bread and other sides. Not a sing...
Very disappointing meal tonight at Zest. Gone downhill from when we last visited. Booked a table for 8pm and got seated at 8.30pm. We know this can happen during busy periods so want too fussed about it. Poppodums served promptly. Starters arrived, meat samosa sent back as it was frozen in the middle. Was brought a veg samosa 20mins after everyone else had finished. Got main meals at 10pm. Food cold. Lamb chops terrible. Rice clumpy. Naan bread like leather. Paid the bill and got changed an extra £20 for desserts we didn’t have. When I realised and told the member of staff he walked off with my debit card to another man who got quite annoyed with us for asking for a refund for the extra that...
Our visit to this restaurant was disappointing. We celebrated an 18th birthday and experienced some issues. The waiters rushed us to order our drinks and food, even when we needed more time. They interrupted us while we were eating poppadoms to take our food orders, which was not appropriate. The food was bland and unremarkable. I would suggest trying Rema Tandoori in Tyldesley or the Indian restaurants in Atherton for a better dining experience.
5pm dinner for two midweek. Slow and poor service, hardly any conversation from staff. Asked for our order when we were eating a poppadum and dips! The food for starters and main meal were fairly nice, but we were given chicken instead of the chicken tikka we ordered. Overall not very impressive considering there were only a few customers in. Haven't been here for years, unlikely to go back here for more years because others do it better

I ordered takeout during the Christmas season. The bhuna I received was subpar, lacked spice, and the vegetables used were not what I would typically expect in a bhuna dish. It was expensive for just two curries without any sides. Additionally, the prices listed on the website were incorrect. Unfortunately, I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
Last time in this place for me. Website has not been updated for years so the prices are way out. Food very average, had the bhuna and I could make better than that. No draught drinks, warm bottles only. Complete rip off for children’s food, £6.50 for a small portion of chicken nuggets and fries, no drink, no ice cream. Bye bye Zest, never again.
Our first visit today and won’t be our last! Incredibly friendly staff, one of the waiters made such a fuss of my youngest she felt like a princess!! Food was outstanding, really really good with big portions. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommended.
Just an average Indian restaurant. The food is ok nothing outstanding, presentation could be better, quite slow service waited a long time between starters and mains was asked twice if we were ready for our mains.

We were a party of 20 people, some were children. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The food was very good, the service was great and I'm so pleased I introduced my family and friends to this excellent restaurant.
