The other day we went for a family lunch to this restaurant. Unfortunately the weather was not so good, that is why we chose indoor seating. One of the biggest assets of this place is its huge and beautiful garden. The food was OK, not...great, ordinary fare, nothing special. Service was good, but, ... yes, but since I had order the daily menu, which included soup, I expected to be served soup first. When the waitress arrived with the main courses, I inquired about my soup, and her comment was: Oh, you soup was not served. No apology, nothing. When we paid, the wanted to charge for the soup as well. Not really great customer service!!!
they need to book a table because this place is very popular throughout the year, but the meal times are expensive for what they get with the trips that are over averaged to about 50%. Excellent local drinks, so the apple juice is excellently cloudy and...not from a package. very little in the way for vegetarian, but my friend had the pumpkin scavenger he said was very good. my potatoes were hard and not really boiled. I ate that, but I didn't enjoy my Cordon ball. our table was on a column and it was very difficult and crampy to eat. this table was only suitable for one person and not for two persons.
Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend, das Essen sehr lecker und schön angerichtet fürs Auge, der Preis gehoben. Für gute Qualität zahl ich auch gerne mehr. Der Kellner hat für meinen Geschmack aufdringlich oft gefragt, ob noch jemand etwas möchte, reichte das Essen über den Tisch statt einen Schritt mehr zu machen und war unfreundlich. Da nützt das beste Essen nichts, wenn das Personal unfreundlich ist.

'to the crooked apple tree' is a classic Austrian tavern, serving authentic Austrian dishes such as carving, pork roast, other classics. service was very hospitable and fast eating was also great with large portion sizes. very cozy atmosphere inside.
came here to dinner in linz. divided a wonderful meat sampler cellar with bacon-wrapped sausage, huh and swarm with fries and a cold beer. much for both of us. service was good (English menu available) and the traditional garden is beautiful!
Chose to eat here whilst on a business trip from the UK. Our waiter spoke very good English and was able to help translate the menu for us. We were very impressed with the food and would come agian.
beautiful garden and parking for free. typical Austrian specialties. the cradle is average and the wee is expensive and not good at all. service would win in friendly waiters.

Sehr gutes Essen, schönes Ambiente, tolle Bedienung. Alles top sehr empfehlenswert. Am Foto; Brustspitz Ripperl, Rindsrolade und dazu ein Bauernsalat mit Kartoffeln.
