was founded locally in 1949 by the former du erna and friedrich thomsen in Hamburg-St. pauli on a trümmergrundstück near the reeperbahn. In 1958, friedrich thomsen died, wife erna led the operation now alone. the restaurant soon became a cult pub. also prominent such as heinz rühmann, curd jürgens, hans albers, freddy quinn and hildegard knef were among the guests.Erna thomsen, born on the 16th april 1924, died on the 9th. silver bag - the smoker pub in the lust district with the cd music box and text-proof guests, offers almost always full house to the street. it was our third visit, this time even with a place at the table and nice neighbor. not only the astra (0.3 2.20), but also an intensive talk, is running after a short time. contact there are due to the many standing at each floor to theke or toilet ☺ and some guests even create a dance in the tight. whoever puts worth on a primitive and cosmopolitan pub, must go here, the time of day is almost no matter because always what is going on!
during our visit to the kiezkneipe in hamburg we have landed in the kiezkneipe "to silverset" in the silversack street. party, good laune and a attentive host. there is still the good old jukebox, which has made us a lot of fun. At the next visit to hamburg we will definitely go back to a detour. thanks for 2 unforgettable evenings.
This place is wonderful; for an English person like stepping back 50 years to the days when couples actually danced together, the music is German Schlager (MOR and power ballards), things like Trio and Nena. This is a trad German pub just off the Reeperbahn. Well worth checking out to see the crowd of locals, the mass of wood panelling and the priceless tracks in the Jukebox. If you're English you won't have heard of any of them! Cheap too. Very very cheap in fact Astra is around 1.80 euro.
despite all the years that are now going to hamburg (and that almost annually) I have never been here. the publikum is mixed, no drunken pub!Nettes perosnal. there is astra, flens etc.Is on jden fall worth a visit and for all touris it is important that photographing is not desired.
