Zur alten Post - Reservar una mesa

Zur alten Post hört sich gemütlich an, die Atmosphäre ist allerdings etwas kühl. Mein Essen war leider auch eher enttäuschend. Der Fleischspies war sehr zäh und schwierig zu kauen. Leider gab es keine Soße zum Gericht, was man eigentlich vermutet hätte, so dass das Fleisch auch nicht rutschte. Absolut unverständlich auch die drei Pommes die zum Gericht gereicht wurden. Es waren tatsächlich drei abgezählte Pommes! Eine viertel Tomate gab es auch noch. Für mich unverständlich wie man ein Gericht so aus der Küche gehen lässt. Wenn das Budget (welches hoch angesetzt war) für Pommes nicht ausreicht dann müsste man wenigstens ein separat zu bestellende Beilage anbieten. Allgemein ist die Karte rec...

Ich kann die letzte, negative Bewertung, absolut nicht nachvollziehen!Ich war in der alten Post nachdem wir die Gartenschau besucht haben. Wir waren zu viert, darunter eine Vegetarierin. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker, egal, was man bestellt hatte. Ich hatte statt der Pommes zu meinem Wiener Kalbsschnitzel (schmeckte wie bei meiner Oma, gelernte Köchin aus Österreich, wirklich lecker) Spätzle mit Sauce geordert. Klar, die Sauce kostete bisschen extra. Aber sie war es wert! Man hat in der Sauce frische Pilze schmecken können, alle Gerichte waren wirklich frisch zubereitet und schmackhaft und ansprechend dekoriert. Auch der Service war sehr freundlich und schnell. Overall the lay out of the restaurant is somewhat chaotic, place is located next to a busy road and the noise reaches the restaurant. Not a very nice view. The meat and bratkartoffelen were very nice, we enjoyed this. The vegetables seemd to come directly...out of a bag of frozen vegetables. The price was quite low and portions were large, so we evaluated our visit as getting the necessary fuel in our bellies. Next time we would have visited a place near the river (which we discovered afterwards)

Zur Alten Post is a newish restaurant in the old post office in Bad Herrenalb. It has a good thriving local customer base, but we were made most welcome as tourists. Food is the usual German style plenty of pork and noodles, but it...is all well cooked, promptly served and reasonably priced. I had a classic Weiner schnitzel, whilst my wife opted for the Jagerschnitzel, with mushroom sauce. The beer was good as ever. Not haute cusine perhaps, but good honest local food

Menus available in English as well. There are just the right amount of dinner choices so it’s not overwhelming. I had a dish made of wild woods mushrooms in crepes and a great big salad to go with it. My husband had a mixed medley...of Italian vegetables with pesto. The food was great. And a yummy hot apple strudel desert with vanilla sauce and ice cream

We where with people on a Wednesday night and had the last table in the house. Always a good sign. The service was friendly. Simple but good quality food (schnitzel and fries with salad for of us and dorado filet for the Finished of with apfelstrudel and ice. Really friendly service, let us taste the wine to help us make up our mind

Das Essen war vom Preis Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Wir hatten Kalbschnitzel und Dorade an Rosmarinkartoffeln. Beides sehr lecker. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und schnell. Wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Food was ok. Service terribly slow. At the end we found out they only accept German bank cards, so I had to go for a walk to get cash. In my opinion not acceptable that a restaurant in the middle of a tourist place...does not accept VISA or MasterCard

Das Essen war sehr gut geschmacklich wie auch die Portionsgröße. Preisleistung war wirklich in Ordnung und somit ist das Restaurant nochmals einen Besuch wert. Auch die Bedienung war freundlich und es war ein gelungenes Abendessen.
