Had dinner there during stay in Horta as we wanted to experience a different taste than the traditional Azorean Food Culture and we were curious of the menu.Overall the food was tasty! However the service was extremely slow: We arrived around 7.45 PM asking for a table for 2. The friendly receptionist told the restautarant is busy right now, however a table should be ready by 8.15 PM. Surprisingly we had a glance into the restaurant when walking to the bar and did see only a few tables busy... We agreed and had a seat in the bar (nice view from the bar to Mt. Pico and the Horta Marina). There we ordered two simple Aperitiv Drinks. That went quite fast. Positively surprised the waitress asked us to have a seat at a nice table already at 8.10 PM. Not to mention our two Apero Drinks were not yet served (~20 mins later) although we asked for them in the meantime. We then speditively ordered our dinner menu. It took them a while to serve the simple Couvert (Olives, Oil, Salt, Butter, Bread). The bread got forgotten several times and we had to ask for it as many times... The Apero drinks were still not served by now although the staff confirmed again and again they will be here in a short moment... We then wanted to cancel the drinks as we wanted to switch to wine for our starter... Astonishingly, then the drinks came quickly... After ~40mins. After the Couvert there was another long break until the Starter was served and another one afterwards until the main course was served. Overall the food was tasty and nicely presented. We were disappointed by the service efficiency and experience as it did not meet our expectations with regards to the prices of the location and the image they want to represent with their brand.
