Not the fanciest ambience, but this place is perfect for a late night snack. The burger has a dippy egg in it!

A great breakfast with good strong coffee and the best fresh orange juice I’ve had for long time. This is a simple restaurant/diner but with real character that makes it special. The waiter/owner is a older guy who works very quickly, almost throwing your order onto the table. Both Spanish and foreigners not quite sure how to take him but we all had smiles on our faces. Quick service with a bit of a show makes it worth a visit.

Traditional Spanish diner-type place that’s perfect for a quick breakfast. Good prices €1.50 for a coffee) and fast and friendly service. We went several times.

With all of the choices around there, I wish we had chosen differently … looked like a casual tasty diner-type place … it smelled like cigarette smoke inside … salad and French fries were tasty but everything else was not good to inedible. My chicken sandwich was not fully cooked … like still pink and unsafe … the server brought me some tomatoes to put on my bread instead … never took the plate of nasty food … but they pretty much never apologized, checked back or even took it off bill. There’s a diner next door that has to be better.

My initial impression of this place was that it was geared towards locals, as lots of local looking folks sitting outside and inside on my arrival. I didn’t fire service to be particularly welcoming, nor was it bad. Not as friendly as most of the places that I have dined at in Madrid or in Spain generally. My calamari sandwich was OK, and the meatballs were very tasty. This is not a place I would recommend, but it was not bad. Several restaurants in the immediate vicinity had outdoor seating also.
