39 Rue De Jean Charleston

We always enjoy dining at Rue de Jean! The food is always very good and the French Onion soup is incredible. Our table of four had two dinners of short ribs, pasta with shrimp and soup and beet and fried goat cheese salad. Nice selection of wines and a small but flavorful cheese plate. No room for dessert!

We had mussels which are normally delicious, but these were just average. Not sure if it was that particular order, but it wasn’t good enough to merit making a trip there again. Server was great, salad was good, drinks were fine. But, nothing outstanding

The shells, hmmmmmm. But the duck jam won my heart. We've eaten dinner here before, but it's my new favorite Sunday brunch spot! Everything, including our waiter Miguel, was wonderful. Thanks for a great experience.

Still a great place, but sadly seemed a little tired around the edges. Last time I dined at Rue de Jean was in And it was a bright shining star on the food scene here in Charleston.

Having dined here several times before, I was a little disappointed in the food. Onion soup was mediocre, salmon overcooked. Out of scallops and the bourbon we requested.
