I took my parents who have come from India for dinner last week. We all just loved the food. My mother loved the Malai Kofta and my father enjoyed the Palak papri chaat a lot. Overall we had a great experience. Thankyou Sushant for making their first restaurant visit in Australia so welcoming and memorable :)
Open seven days a week, 7 By the Lake offers Maharashtrian, Punjabi, West Bengali, Rajasthani, Goanese, Gujarati and South Indian dishes. They also have set meals at $49.50pp which I found really satisfying. The Lamb Kali Mirch and Chicken Kolhapuri are a must try. Read my full review on Travel and Beyond.
Nice location, easy parking. We ordered chicken Chettinaad and goat Laalmaas (very spicy on the bone), garlic naan and nice. The food was excellent - fresh, authentic and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Would certainly eat there again.
This restaurant serves fabulous food from seven regions of India. The owner was happy to steer us in the direction of various vegan and heat options. This is a wonderful addition to the range of restaurants available on the Kingston Foreshore. We'll be back! Reserva una mesa ahora
Initially I thought that trying to be all things Indian may have been a step 2 far. I was wrong. The meals we chose were superbly presented and really tasty. Would go back. Staff friendly and very helpful. Location good on the Eastlake Pde. Nice package.
It was a worthwhile experience. The food was tasteful and to compliment that was their service. I must say haven't experienced such service in a long time. Hope they continue on that route of giving good service.
Absolutely delicious curries, breads & rice in a cosy location on the water. The staff were just lovely as well. Would definitely visit again when I return to Canberra. Highly recommended!
