Booked via messenger by using google translator to converse in French. Very little English spoken, virtually non existent so had fun trying to use out non existent French as we should of course. Staff very welcoming and very patient with us. Again translation Apps came...in useful with menu. Thankfully we ordered what we thought we had and all was delicious especially my salmon starter. Small restaurant that had lovely feel and we had a lovely evening.
Ate lunch here yesterday. Wonderful find, lovely people and great food. Presentation of all the dishes was excellent! Hubby had snails with a pastry case which he assured me tasted great. I had a turkey escalope normandy style in other words, loads of cream...and cheese. Delicious and not overcooked which is often the case with an escalope. Delicious tarte tatin for dessert.
we stumbled on L’Ambiance and were surprised to see if we are picked up to additional seating while the restaurant was completely empty. it soon became clear why the restaurant was soon filled with locals who knew this was a great place for dinner. that was eating. authentic French food and worth visiting. we'll be back soon.

Visited on a cold Sunday lunchtime in November when heading back to the channel tunnel. Not far off the D940, easy parking nearby. Very friendly service. Nice decor inside. Good menu and tasty, beautifully presented food.
From the start , with a truly PERFECT service, through and to the end of the meal, we went from delight to BLISS. Marie, the chef, Chantal, the owner, and all her staff can be proud of their work. Bravo!
If you are in the corner, you have to go to "the scoop" their food is delicious and inexpensive excellent seafood, excellent meat and excellent pasta gratins.
