Me and my husband visited this restaurant on the evening of our arrival (we've rented a house in the village Waltenheim-sur-Zorn). We were served by a very friendly lady who also happened to speak German and the food was delicious. We ate a salmon appetizer and then ordered two Flammkuchen, which were the best I ate so far (and we have them on virtually every street corner in Germany). Prices are okay if you consider France is not the cheapest country in Europe (around 10€ for each Flammkuchen, I think we spent about 50€ including the appetizer, beer/glass of wine and tip), but considering the delicious food and the impeccable service, it was definitely worth it! A stone's throw away from the Marne-Rhine Canal, this restaurant is a favorite stop for most canal cruisers. I was on a Road Scholar canal boat trip on the Marne-Rhine canal and we had dinner her one night. The TARTE FLAMBÉE (Flammkuchen in German) were most wonderful. It is a flat bread with various toppings and we sampled 4 different ones. The food in Alsace is more German than French. Good beer from Meteor Brewery. super welcome by a very warm couple. They're a passion that's never the same. Their little cakes are exquisite. a wonderful human and gustative encounter that deserves ample detour that we have made for this excellent discovery. Do not hesitate to go there. It made us a crazy good
