Al Porto Vecchio is a well known Italian restaurant, situated in a lovely location Along Nelson Place overlooking Port Phillip Bay. Al Porto Vecchio has a homely and welcoming atmosphere due to their easy listening music playing in the background and their gorgeous warm fire. The venue is an Old Art Deco building and has recently been taken over by new owners. We were very excited to try them out!<br/ <br/ For entrée we ordered the Seasoned Wedges which was covered in melted cheese and sour cream and the Bruschetta (which was pizza based) served with tomato and basil. Al Porto Vecchio is perfectly located Italian restaurant right on the main strip along the waterfront. The interiors are cosy and welcoming with friendly and attentive staff. The menu is extensive with some amazing dishes. Would recommend!. Always a good option to start the meal!  . Poached Bay Mussels $19 in White Wine, Garlic, Herbs, Sweet Chili and Napoli Sauce

The food at this restaurant was delicious, affordable, and the portion sizes were generous. The only downside was the hour-long wait for our food to be served. If it weren't for the long wait, I would have rated it a 5 out of 5.

Very good chips and fries, only one person on but efficient and reasonably quick service, have come here twice on our chip crawl, so it’s good
