We had a very good stay at Hotel Alemannenhof but can only recommend the Hotel with the odd proviso! Most importantly, make sure you specify EXACTLY what room you will get as not all rooms have been renovated. Those that have been are truly nice, those that aren't truly are NOT!!! Please note that the price of the room is in no way indicative of the state of the room. The Restaurant is fine and the service is very good and child-friendly. The most attractive feature is the hotel's position right on the lake Titisee which is enviable and worthwhile during the summer season. However if you are travelling offseason and swimming in the lake is not necessarily a priority, I suggest you shop aroun...
we came to lunch. the location is beautiful, and the room itself beautifully underlined traditional style. I chose cheese late zle two away and thought this dish was delicious. my companions had sourd soup with bloodworm and pork with french fries. the soup of the soup...was unexpectedly elegant visual and tasty. the pork tasted good to me, but my companion is a super taster and thought something was gone. the portions were unnecessarily large! for dessert we shared a strudel that was served with ice and whips cream. the pfeif cream was completely unsweetened, the stem was pasty and wet, but the ice was good. the service was friendly and professional.
I was here for a coffee and a slice of a schwarzwalder cake. The typical cake of this region. This an expensive hotel/ restaurant, but it's worthy cause the view to the Titisee Lake is stunning! The quality of the food is good. So... at...the end is a good value for money. Wifi available. Parking place. Relaxing esplanade with a breathtaking view to the Titisee Lake. Friendly staff. Located in a quite place, not far from the village, but far enough to avoid the noise coming from the village and traffic.
Our friends were staying at this hotel - and loved it - and we joined them there for dinner. We arrived late in the afternoon and sat outside on the terrace overlooking the idyllic lake nestling between the deeply wooded slopes - a most serene and peaceful setting. The whole place is very beautifully decked out and richly furnished in wood to fit in with the local traditions. The food was excellent and served in a very appealing manner. Service was friendly. A lovely place I can highly recommend.

we were the Christmas days in this hotel and dinner there. the hotel and the breakfast was good, the room was excellent. but eat very badly, especially for christmas. it was made as a mass product without creativity, design or love to surprise the guests. Very... average and defenitiw not worth the seventh ranking at tripadvisor. because of this ranking we booked this hotel. they should be at the lowest place in ranking. so they warn not to eat here, but the booking of a room is in order.
We stayed a few days in Hotel Alemannenhof on half board basis.Breakfast is great - excellent quality and wide variety - good service even though often a lot of people ...Dinner was mixed feeling - quality of food is good although very sweet. For €50 per person one could expect a bit finer prepared food. Service during dinner seemed to struggle a bit, although always friendly and helpful - but sometimes it took a long time before food and drinks were served.
We spent one night in Titisee and stayed at the Alemannenhof. We had a very large three bedroom apartment with spectacular views over the lake- a short walk from the actual hotel and restaurant. The food at the restaurant was very good - friendly staff, and breakfast (included in our room rate) was also terrific. Highly recommend this hotel and will return!
we have made a table reservation for 20:00 clock. we have a rectangle in the back room and were told that the main menu was not available from 20 o'clock! No one told us that the main menu closes early! very disappointing and...before they have ordered us from another table overloaded. So start an early dinner before 20 o'clock!

this restaurant offers a good traditional menu. Unfortunately, the wild boar was not available during our visit, but everything else was on. the food was excellent and the service was both efficient and cheerful. very pleasant!
