This hotel far exceeded our expectations. We experienced first class hospitality from the very moment Tobias picked us up at the local train station to the moment he dropped us off. The food is exceptional - home cooked and so many varieties of honey on offer at the breakfast counter; we were spoilt for choice! It was also wonderful to see their dedication to supporting the local community i.e farming and other food supply agents. Deserving of many more stars. The Hotel is a small family run hotel where my wife and spent 10 lovely nights with half board for less than £100 per night for the two of us. The food (4 courses every evening, Filet of steak on the Sunday) ) and accommodation were absolutely excellent. The whole ambience of the hotel and friendliness of the staff made it a most memorable stay. On our arrival we were issued with a very detailed map of the area and our 'Gastcards'. The Gastcard entitles the holder to free travel on all of the trains and buses in the area, including the trams and buses in Freilburg. after a badetag on the schluchsee tripadvisor consulted and landed in the peterle: nicely decorated, very friendly service and a wonderful evening meal: wild herbal soup or with honey-gratined goat fresh cheese to the starter and then salmon trout with pfifferlingen or flammable dumplings with mushroom ragout. all very good, with fine crimp spiced, sweet and tasty. a delightful! big enough are the portions too, the last piece of the dumpling I would not have done anymore - but every bite I could not take anymore has repented me. also the washrooms are nice, nicely decorated - finally a clo door that goes out!Everything in everything: absolutely recommended, then we go again!
We had a business dinner there for 16 people. All evening the people served us were unbelievably charming and really made us feel welcome in the location. The food they served was really nice and they were able to accommodate our special needs as we had a vegan participant and some other special requirements. They really made an effort that even for those special requirements they found a nice alternative. The atmosphere of the room was really local so our international guests had the chance that they experienced at least a bit of Germany and especially the black forest.

5 dagen geboekt iwm een skivakantie in de omgeving maar 7 dagen mogen blijven zonder bijbetaling iwm slechte weersomstandigheden. dat noem ik service. wij hebben natuurlijk wel daar gegeten en gedronken wat we natuurlijk wel moesten afrekenen maar wat we kregen voor de prijs was super lekker. hotel is wel wat gedateerd en de inrichting erg klassiek. goede bedden maar badkamer (met douche in bad) what never really handy in gebruik. en personeel zijn heel attent en vriendelijk (niets is teveel)
we had a 4-course menu and once a 5-course menu with the right weep. both were super tuned in their ingredients and very tasty. we were also very nicely served. the exquisite wine card is also worth mentioning separately. completely satisfied.
cook a wonderful meal there without taste enhancers or similar. a small minus point is, however, that the white wine definitiw was only lukewarm and not really cold as that belongs to a really good restaurant but very nice service
great quality and a beautiful ambiente! the personal is friendly, but you noticed that we have come late. we would come and eat there! (the cordon bleu is the best thing I've ever tried)
