Firstly, the food. I got a wrap and it was really mid, there was nothing too special about it and honestly just tasted like some chicken with some sauce in a tortilla wrap, however it cost me $15. However, the thing that really sets this wrap apart from typical wraps is that this one gave me food poisoning. My father got the moussaka which came without meat or potatoes, so it was essentially just a goofy eggplant salsa that cost $20. I don’t understand why all of this food was so expensive when I could go home and make the same thing for a tenth of the price and it would taste ten times better. Secondly, the service. My family and I were passing through this town and were looking for a late lunch/ early dinner spot. We found Allendale Mediterranean Grill and the food was so great that I actually asked the wait the chef from. The food had a nice amount of flavor. And the service was incredible. My 7 year old wanted pancakes from the earlier menu. And the waitress heard him and said no problem and made my son was happy with his pancakes. I had the chicken shawarma plate and my husband had the chicken chop dish. All the dishes were flavorful and delicious. Definitely recommend if you are in this side of NJ. Almost everything was fantastic from the appetizers to our kebabs. Where they fell short is on one of the most expensive items on the menu- their lamb chops which were described as being served in a buttery garlic sauce and instead came out charred and I overcooked. I was extremely disappointed since this is a dish that is not difficult to prepare. I won't be ordering that again.
So to update my review, I ate here again, this time for dinner. The only miss is the stale pita bread, it 's terrible! I don 't understand, there are so many amazing Turkish bakers in Paterson, why are they serving this terrible pita with their delicious food? Or at least make their dried out pita into pita chips. I don 't get it?

The food was delicious. I had a vegetarian mixed plate with falafel, moussaka, rice, baba ghannouj, and a borek. We had baklava for dessert, again delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. I LOVE Mediterranean food and this was the driest shawarma I've ever had. It had no flavor, and was cold a dry. I should have spoken up and said something but based on this experience I wouldn't return. The waitress was also complaining about how busy she was and she had 3-4 tables in the entire restaurant.
