Anchor Inn - Reserva de mesa

Our first Sunday lunch out for a long time and we were really disappointed. We waited 10 mins to be seated. After 30 mins of waiting for the menu and drinks we went to the bar and asked. We then waited 1:15 for our food to arrive at the table. The steak pie was awful and we could barely eat it as there was far too much pepper in it. So we paid £97 for a lunch that we barely eat! The mash was good! Another table was in the same position and just left and refused to pay their bill. I couldn’t do that but I should have. We didn’t even get a discount. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Will not be returning.

Disappointing visit for Sunday lunch. No problem getting booked in that should have set alarm bells. Waitress was very helpful and apologetic when food took a while to arrive. Oddly we were asked if we wanted our starters first ! and if we wanted any sauces before our meals arrived! Soup was excellent, but venison was tough and fatty and poor value. We were in the restaurant’ area and yet we had a youth bouncing a football about behind us. Chose this pub for convenience but wish we had made the effort to go elsewhere. Beer was fine and the fish chips seemed popular.

Lovely, truly rustic bar with plenty of room, fire in the winter, and dog friendly. Restaurant also available. Good Sunday lunch with delicious, rare roast beef and yorkshire pudding but roast potatoes could have been better. Pigeon wrap good too. Prices average. A great place to stop for a pint or lunch after a walk from Hartfield plenty of walks to choose from leave the car in the pub car park.

Amazing food! So difficult to find good Sunday roast nowadays! Ans quirky dishes that you don't usually get such as rabbit stew and pheasant kiev! Outstanding. The staff is great, polite, smiley, knowledgeable! This is our second time and we will come back again and again! Reserva una mesa ahora

The five of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Anchor. My four friends thought the venison pie and the vegetarian one where excellent. The pub did get very busy whilst there which affected service.

Food disgusting and cold. Service was awful. Dogs barking at each other and running around. Truly was awful Even had to take pictures of the menu on your phone because their printers weren't working.

A lovely Sunday afternoon spent in the garden of this pub with friendly and efficient staff, food was good, served piping hot and the vegetarian option was good value for money.

Lovely ambience. The team could not do enough for us. Smokey was best we've ever had. This place oozes charm and character and the food does not disappoint. Highly recommended. Reserva una mesa ahora

Lovely country pub always serving tasty and very good food. Staff are very friendly and a cosy ambience. Have visited many times and would always recommend.
