Came in here on a whim after a weekend conference to grab lunch before heading out of town. We arrived around 12:30 on a Saturday and were seated immediately. It is buffet only, no a la carte menu. Anyway- they had fresh watermelon and orange juice as part of the buffet. Yum! And offered to make mimosas out of the juice (guessing it would be extra but we didn't take advantage this time. They do have a full bar I noticed. I started with the vegetable soup- it was really good but I didn't want to fill up on soup at a buffet! Onto the other items- I tried their chickpea salad (cold and fresh , the naan (wish it was garlic naan but it was still delicious! , a lentil dish (my least favorite- it was a bit watery and not super flavorful , a fish in a tomato sauce that was super yummy, a spinach dish with paneer cheese (always a favorite , and a spiced potato dish that was so surprisingly tasty that I went back for seconds! I don't eat meat but my husband and had two helpings each of the tandoori chicken and chicken masala. Of course they have tons of rice as well as all relevant sauces (tamarind, mango chutney, yogurt, chili garlic and a green cilantro chutney . I even tried the desserts- a light mango mousse and a really good cardamom flavored rice kheer. We left stuffed. Service was nice- not overbearing but they came and cleared our empty plates and refilled our waters in a timely manner. When we left around 1:30 the restaurant was filling up! At $22 a person it's a great option for dining in Asheville!
