Andy's Frozen Custard

This restaurant was conveniently located near my hotel, and I saw so many people dining there that I had to give it a try! The service was excellent, and our desserts arrived quickly. They offered a wide variety of unique flavors to choose from. I found the James Brownie Funky Jackhammer to be just okay; I wished it had been better mixed, as I could barely taste the peanut butter and mostly only picked up on the hot fudge. However, the other concrete and shake we ordered were really delicious!

The chocolate frozen custard here is absolutely delicious! The staff at the counter are friendly and the service is quick. However, if you're not using the drive-thru and plan to eat on the front patio (which only has benches), you'll be disappointed with the cleanliness. The concrete patio and steps are quite dirty, and napkins are scattered throughout the shrubs bordering the area. I also noticed three people preparing food in the back, and one was wearing a very dirty Andy's cap.

This place is terrible. I ordered a chocolate concrete with cookie dough, but they gave me vanilla ice cream with Reese’s Pieces instead, even though I specifically requested chocolate ice cream with cookie dough. This is the second time this has happened. I used to love this place, but it just keeps getting worse. I would strongly advise against coming here or eating here—I will never return.

They have a track record of making mistakes with orders, so I asked the guy at the window to confirm my order for the Key Lime Pie concrete. However, when I got home, I discovered that I received the wrong order—something with M&Ms and cookies instead. I didn’t realize it until I got home since it was a to-go order in the bag. I ordered a James Brownie Concrete, and it was essentially a soupy mix of ice cream with just one small piece of brownie and an excessive amount of hot fudge. It was honestly the worst ice cream I've ever had. Just to clarify, when I say "soup," I really mean it—it was already that way when the server handed it to me.

It was just ok to me. I honestly don't know why. It just didn't taste like anything to write home about. To be fair, my fiance did enjoy his, but he said the mint was a little weird. The service was friendly and fast and the owner did reply to my review. I added a star for that reason.

Went here with my son after a Boy Scouts event, and it was super busy. Quality was great, but the lady at the counter didn't acknowledge we were even in line. Another employee who was super nice, acknowledged us, and took our order asap. Overall, Andy's is pretty good!

Charming and nostalgic! My teenagers wanted to go through the drive-thru, but I seized the opportunity to teach them about the value of authenticity and the importance of making an effort to truly enjoy the experience in the moment.

We first discovered Andy's Custard in Denver, but now we've found one in St. Louis. They have an excellent variety of treats for everyone to enjoy.
