7/16/23 As my girlfriends were strolling down 2nd Street, we passed by Angelo's Deli. I hardly ever get to see some of the businesses around Belmont Shore on 2nd St. because we usually walk around late at night. I scoped it out looked around. They serve up Italian inspired sandwiches, noted olives artichokes on the deli case, what looks to be freshly made pastas in the fridge, breads other merchandise. It's a fairly small deli it looks promising. I'm not much of a sandwich type of person but am willing to try it sometime. 2nd street is the heart of Long Beach City coastal vibes, shopping, numerous restaurants, bars/night life. Expect (sometimes tight) and busy street parking. Buongiorno! Go here for your Italian goods, subs, pasta, cannolis, wines, etc., etc, oh my! Find this really cute Italian deli at one of the 2nd street corners. Once you walk in through the door you are transported to Italy. Really enjoyed the torpedo sandwich, deli meats were perfect, not overpowering, lightly dressed with oil and balsamic vinegar, pesto spread, on a baguette roll. First time at Angelo's Italian Deli, and it didn't disappoint. Upon walking in, the aroma in the air consumed me. It smelt just like my mom's cooking from home. The walls were adorned with all kinda of baked goods, authentic olive oil, and Italian beer for sale. This place has it all! Fortunately, we didn't have to wait too long for our food. The service was great! My pastrami sandwich tasted so savory. The meat was very tender, and the French roll had a perfect crunch to it. You've gotta try their pesto garlic bread, too. So freaking good. 10/10 overall experience. We will be coming back again and again to try everything on the menu
If there is a line at this locally owned small business, take a breath and hang in there- it's worth it. Ya gotta love getting gifts before the holidays. Edible gifts are even better. The pastrami sandwich is a wonderful gift. Peppered pastrami, cheese, pickle and mustard on that excellent bread- crispy crunchy on the outside and soft and welcoming on the inside. You can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches here: torpedo, hero, mortadella... anything with garlic spread. Don't forget to pickup some garlic spread to take home plus soooo many tasty sweet and savory food items.

The food is always fresh, and served with a smile. The customer service is wonderful and helpful. The ambiance is quiant and clean. We always order the meatball sandwich, scrumptious and so good; heart and filling. The pasta salad is so fresh and worth it. We also order the Torpedo sandwich, filled with pesto, Italian deli meat and, lettuce, purple onions, tomatoes, and cheese; my favorite! Make sure to order the sweet imported blood orange Italian soda, which goes great with the sandwich. Don't forget to grab some Italian cookies to go! Enjoy!
After a long day at the beach, I’m happy to say I’ve discovered my new favorite lunch spot in Seal. I had the Calabrese sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious—packed with meat, served on fresh bread, and just the right amount of dressing. The staff was incredibly friendly as well. Inside, there are a few small tables, and on the right side of the shop, there’s a delightful little Italian market. Highly recommend!
I had a fantastic experience on my first visit! The service was extremely friendly, and the food was fresh and served right at the table. The meatballs topped with melted cheese and sauce were great, as was the veggie lasagna, especially the daily special. The toasted prosciutto melt with arugula was absolutely delicious—full of flavor! They also offer a selection of pasta, cheese, sauces, and more for sale.
Fire!!! Got the parma prosciutto and my friend got the torpido. They're both huge!!!! And the sandwiches have hella meat in it, the garlic spread they put on it is fire. And the server was super nice and helped us with our questions! Def coming back. There are a few tables and a bunch of stuff u can look at while waiting too!

Amazing food and personnel. I like the old school vibe. I usually get the Torpido sandwich but pasta dishes are amazing also. Lasagna lunch will give me three meals. And I can eat lasagna for breakfast.
This place never disappoints! Be sure to ask for extra green garlic sauce whenever you can. It's the best local sandwich shop we have in Long Beach!
