Hello! This restaurant was on my need to go a list for a while and I am disappointed that I did not go earlier! First of all, I would like to thank the staff for the great service and very clean, cool environment! The restaurant itself is a small intimate place that is very simple but beautiful. The menu itself seems very thoughtful and detailed. Each article had a good description and I got a general idea of what I would get. The beverage menu was also very descriptive and inventive, I don't think I have drinks that are this complex before in variety of tastes. Now the food itself is some of the best I had, really know the cooks what they do and want to get the guest. Everything was perfect...
Great place with great food. Cubano was rich, buttery and simply amazing. Some of my knocks are that the Adobe is incredibly salty and even though I love my salt, it was too much. In addition, the fries were cold and stale. Not sure if the fries are supposed to be like that l, but they were more like potato chips than fires. There also seemed to be one main waiter serving the entire restaurant. A lady came to serve here and there but for the majority of the time there, it was a solo act. Dude was a champ and did the best he could. Expect to wait about 45 minutes for food and seating is limited. Looking forward to the next visit.
Finally tried this place. The restaurant itself was alittle of the small size. Parking kinda sucks because it was just street parking so if ur planning on going as a group, it's best to carpool. Got great customer service. The food was good..the price to try the Kamayan Feast..to me personally, it was not worth it. From their pictures, looks like alot of food, but it's really not. If you've never tried it, still worth a shot to go, try n have the experience for yourself. Also, if u do the feast w/ a child, the charge for a child (10 n under) is the same as an adult.
Food was very delicious and flavorful. We ordered the chicken Adobo, the shrimp bicol, chicken wings, pork belly garlic fried rice and house fries. Excellent! Now, let's talk about service wait time for our food was well over 1 hour. It is true what other reviewers said, this restaurant caters more to the Caucasian customers. They were more attentive to them and they got their food before ours. And we basically ordered the same food. The waitresses was okay. Portion size is a disappointment. All in all, okay restaurant if you're craving Filipino food.

Some of the best food I have ever had! I have so many good things to say about this restaurant! I have been back 4 times, and can't get enough. The first time I went was to do the Kamayan, they were able to make it Gluten Free for me and I did a happy dance the whole time I ate. The food is so fresh and amazing with so much flavor! Every time I have had amazing service, they have great live music and the drinks are awesome! I wish they would advertise how many Gluten Free items they have so more people can check them out! 100% would recommend!
Cute establishment with friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. We ordered Adobo and Filipino Cubano. They both visually look great. However, Adobo was a let down. Too much vinegar! I'd also prefer a thicker sauce. The meat was a bit dry. The Flipinon Cubano was flavorful. Nice combination of grilled bread, cheese, and pulled pork. It tasted great. Though it was really salty. We had to have it with rice (from Adobo) though it's still recommended
I went to Apoy for the first time last night and had a wonderful experience! The staff was super nice and welcoming and the food was delicious. We went with the Kamayan option and were really impressed. Plenty of food and so a wide selection of Filipino food to try. While we did not like all foods on our table, we really enjoyed it! Very cool, authentic experience on banana leaves with the hands to eat. I'll come back!
By far the best food I had in Minneapolis! I warned about this place in March and tried to come here every time I'm in the area and it finally happened. This place was not disappointed. Andrew greeted us with a friendly warm smile, the atmosphere is fun and comfortable. It is a small bistro where the staff smiles and is very helpful. I'm back!

My husband and I grew up in the Philippines, and the food in Apoy brought us home - it was delicious! We had the pig BBQ, Chicken inasal lumpia, and we shared the flan for dessert. If you never had Filipino food, there are many great dishes on this menu that everyone would love! Very recommended! We'll be back a lot!
