Asahi Japanese Restaurant

We dropped by on a snowy Saturday for lunch. Was seated at a wooden booth which had cushions to sit on but I found the bench to be raised a bit too high as I'm not that tall so my feet could not touch the floor and that was not that comfortable. If your taller that is ok. We ordered the beef teriyaki box and the beef teriyaki rice bowl lunch specials. You get one prawn and 3 deep fried vegy in the included tempura which was not bad. I found the miso soup a bit salty. It took awhile for our server to take our order. Its probably a good place for the locals as the prices are reasonable.

Nice enough inside to be a good date place. Knowledgeable terrific service. tea at the table in less than 5 minutes. There is absolutely something for everyone here. I ordered a 'lunch box' which gave me a sampling of 4 different things. each one a fresh flavorful mouthful ... utter joy to be had. and, what I heard from others who had been here was correct. except it should be underlined! You will LOVE it!

This is a very consistent place to eat. Service is always outstanding and all dishes are fresh and delicious! Always take the teenagers here and they love it too.

We used to always go to Asahi for dinner and takeout, then the quality dropped, the new owners have brought the quality back to even better than when it opened.

This was my first visit. I eat teriyaki beef - it was alsame! The atmosphere is friendly and upbeat. Service was very well too. Good quality and price!
