We visited this cheerful restaurant for lunch without a reservation, and we were lucky to get in. By 1pm, it was full. ( Partly because a bicycle club of 35+ came in just after us, with reservations.). We were treated like old friends by the husband and wife who recently took over. He went over his menu in great detail, helped us choose a bottle good local Beaujolais (Fleurie I think). My husband had the lunch menu, a great bargain for 15 euros: mixed salad, red trout in a light sauce with rice and asparagus, frommage blanc, a piece of strawberry tart, and a cafe. Almost everyone around us was having the same menu. To be different, I chose the menu at 29 euros, which had a number of choices...

excellent dinner during the week: foie gras and tartare of St. James, then ruffled calf, and wine/chocolat pears. everything was perfectly mastered, seasoned, spicy, cooked, tasteful and presented...of great art! with such good products, the rates are very correct. large choice of wine, even in carafe or glass, in the evening.Beautiful, well-heated, comfortable, soft jazzy music, which does not hinder conversation, and pleasant lighting. In short, it should have been an excellent time...The problem is not in the kitchen, but in the room, at the service precisely: the person who has received us and served is, of course, effective, serious and professional, but it is a bitter lack of an essent...

This is a great place in a small town! The service is very good and the food too. The menu is limited, but for good reason - using what appears to be mostly local produce and doing it very well. The quality exceeds expectation - and even more so given the location. Well worth a visit - good food, good service and good wine - in Beaujolais - what more could one want!

Ate here twice whilst staying at theDix Crus down the road. Truly excellent dinners and worth finding if you're in Beaujolais. Be sure to book as its rightly very popular.

A pleasure! warmth and gustative pleasure. A moment of ecstasy. came from the belgium and the more I wanted to get up from my chair after a meal I enjoyed every bite.
