With a dark cloud over the Puy de Dome, on our way to Vulcania, we noticed this very attractive auberge restaurant and made a last-minute reservation for lunch. This turned out to be a great decision! The quality of ingredients and the standard of cooking was very high. The plat du jour was exquisite...a generous serving of tender local roast lamb served over roasted vegetables on a puff pastry base. The fresh pesto drizzle around the plate was the perfect accent. The menu du jour price of 17.90 was exceptionally good value, given the quality of the food.
