However recommended by our hotel and the tripadvisor reviews, we were very disappointed with our experience at the Auberge du cheval Rouge. The plates are nicely erect but the quality of the dishes is far from being at the height of what is announced. - mouthing of salmon tartare without great flavour-, hazelnut of lamb in grass crust, yet announced as a speciality of the house: two tiny pieces of lamb are too cooked, or of poor quality, but in any case hard. Knorr brouillon brouillon for one, inaudible for the other, dry and expedient for the young lady who seems to be responsible. Only the blown at the Grandmarnier, well balanced, and the very pleasant terrace have found thanks to our eyes...

a very nice presentation of the dishes, the taste: good, fresh but nothing embalming; disappointed since the restaurant presents itself as a high-quality gold establishment the dishes do not leave a compelling memory. However, we feel real work in the kitchen. Moreover, it is a shame to be confronted with amateurism at the level of service quite blatant, a young server far from worrying about detail.

looking for a good restaurant near finished visiting the beautiful castle of chenonceau we arrived at this restaurant five minutes from the castle. we had dinner in the dining room, but the restaurant also has tables outside. We had dinner in this restaurant during a weekend in the area. the dishes served and the excellent wine map (divine mountain) leave us an excellent souvenir. special mention at the entrance, hen broth with foie gras, absolutely magical.
