17 of us came here for a family meal to celebrate a 21st birthday yesterday. The food was amazing! A proper roast dinner that actually tasted like it had all been made from scratch. The meat was beautiful! The service was fab, even though there was quite a few of us to accommodate. The meals all came out very quickly, all together and were nice and hot. Nothing was too much of a problem for the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. The birthday girl even received a card from the axe and square. Would definitely recommend!

6 of us had Sunday Lunch today the food etc was great, we will definately be back. However, we were surprised that there were no hot options, such as apple pie/crumble with custard etc, on the dessert menu. If this choice had been offered 2 of my party would definately have had dessert. Overall we would recommend this restaurant to our friends.

Second meal we have had here service has been fantastic. Tonight our table wasn’t ready until 45 minutes after we had booked due to the people on there before being late overrunning. The staff couldn’t be more apologetic even gave us free desserts to apologise. We will definitely return again as food was lovely.

Really great pub, lovely restaurant. Decor is lovely since renovation, completely transformed. Food was lovely! Just would say it would be great if they had more vegan options, as there is only one. *updated edit* June 2024 there are now plenty of wonderful vegan and veggie items on the menu! : Reserva una mesa ahora

Nice snug seating with varied menu and good service. Early Saturday evening so ok for parking. Food is well presented and of food standard. The pie is softer edge so no teeth breaking issues. The lamb is well cooked too
