Unfortunately having visited a few times, this time we were very disappointed, my knife was dirty but was replaced when my food arrived. I don't usually order a burger as I feel they're too expensive and I may as well go to McDonalds, however my wife wanted a burger so I also ordered one. The main issue was that my wife ordered the black and blue burger from the specials board only to be told that there was no stilton and so she had to order something else which ended up being a lot more expensive, why, when the specials menu had only just been released did you have missing food? So I ended up having a meal that I didn't particularly want and ate a burger on my own whilst my wife ate a prope...
The staff were attentive. About 15/20 minute wait for food, totally acceptable as you know it is being cooked from scratch. Excellent battered fish, enough chips, only a small portion of mushy peas so they went cold before they were finished. On the whole a very good meal. I hate to see an overloaded plate as it puts me off it was a pleasant surprise to see this meal as it was well presented.
My wife didn't like the taste of her Lasagne, a bit stodgy and probably had spices that she didn't like, so possibly a personal thing. The worst problem was a long table of adults with their children sitting on another table. The kids were climbing on the benches and over the top and running around, being noisy. A bad experience for us. Control your children and consider others.
