I was taken by friends after our night out. I was not expecting to be as impressed as I was. I would say it’s a street food plus type restaurant, however the food does all the talking. There were a few of us so there was a wide selection of dishes that were ordered. As we were eating family style I got to try lots of dishes. All of them had depth of flavour and spice that made the food a delight to eat. Even though we had ordered a fair amount we went back for another portion of the salt and pepper wings (these are highly recommended). Saturday evening family takeaway delivered to home was really poor, dish by dish 20% of Prawn Crackers were solid and inedible they were free fortunately Grilled Haloumi was as advertised and tasted ok but I’ve never had a smaller portion it was fair for the money. I stumbled upon this restaurant around 11:30 as they were closing, but the chef was kind enough to make me some chicken soup, chicken noodles, and rice for takeaway. Even the vegetable and tofu noodles were delicious. My partner and I consider ourselves to be tough critics when it comes to Chinese food, but we were pleasantly surprised by the amazing flavors. I’ve walked past this place quite a few times and it’s always had people sat down in there so on a busy Saturday night when other places were full we decided to give it a try. It is a street style Asian food where you can sit in or takeaway. The food is SO good and such a good price for the amount you get. You can see the food being freshly made to order and the two guys working in there were really friendly and working hard to prepare our food well. We decided to eat in and the portions of the set menu were great and the food tasted really good. Had no complaints what so ever. Will definitely be going back and recommending to locals.

Absolutely livid with this place and with uber eats. Placed the order at 5.45. At 7.15 we are still waiting. Was not told it would take a long time because they are busy. Usually places will give you a heads up if it will be over an hour. App was telling me 6.45 at first which was long but just about live withable. This just takes it to next level. I have a daughter who needs to go to bed and this was her dinner too. Plus to add insult to injury the uber driver is making another delivery before mine. Will never order from here again. First and last time.
Firstly, the prices shown on the menu are incorrect (prices have gone up). Secondly, and more importantly, if you are looking for authentic chinese flavours then I’m afraid you will be very disappointed. Whilst there was a good amount of meat and vegetables the sauce was thin and without flavour. If I closed my eyes the taste was similar to that of the packets you get with instant dried noodles. The sauce, that should have brought the whole dish together, was actually off putting. So much so that I threw it away.
We have dined at Baba Wok several times, and while the food is delicious, we have been disappointed by the service and portion sizes. Our family meal tonight cost over £50, and we waited 2 hours for delivery. The spicy chips were a letdown, as they were mostly carrots and onions with only a few chips. Baba Wok needs to improve if they want to retain customers. £50 is a high price for takeout, and I would expect better quality if I were dining in a restaurant. We were extremely dissatisfied with our experience.
Do not waste your money. The food taste like plastic and in a beef dish it was filled with tofu. It really is ridiculous how much they charge for their food. The place has gone downhill which is really sad as it used to be really really good. Please do not waste your money on this food because you will be heavily disappointed

This was truly the worst Asian food I have ever tried in my life. It was very bland and tasted like gravel. I was extremely disappointed and regretted wasting my money. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
