5 stars for Hawaii hits the streets of LA!! Bachan is clearly a descendent of Hawaiian style Cooking and keeping it real for us Angelinos. Light and real sugar teriyaki sauce. Delicate and flavorful, it's really something to experience. I've had both the combination ribs and chicken and the salmon plate. Awesome! I've tasted the Mahi Mahi and suggest you try that too. This place even has Chili Burgers and fries!!! Gotta save something for next time. Yes, I'll be back and will be taking orders for the rest. This is a very small place with four tables, so plan accordingly. Most people order ahead and take out.

Finally tried this place to-go for my lunch after seen a good comment in the internet, and I think Bachan's Take Out is definitely a excellent japanese restaurant in local. I ordered Furikakae Ahi with Wasabi Aioli (Tuna), and Combo Bowl (Ribs and Chicken), and it is very delicious especially Tuna and Ribs. It has excellent portions, and prices are lower than other japanese restaurant as well. Also, services is pretty fast as well. Overall, I definitely come back to try other food as well such as Tonkatsu, Soba, and Teriyaki Sandwich because it has good quality of food.

The front dining area appears clean, though there are no restrooms available. However, it's hard to gauge the overall cleanliness without seeing the kitchen. The Japanese takeout is always delicious. Today, we ordered the ahi, and the salmon plate was also quite tasty. We also got the chicken taquitos that we always enjoy. Typically, we call ahead for quicker service. Overall, the food is great, the service is friendly, and we had a good experience. It's surprising that after spending $35, they still charge for extra teriyaki sauce!

Great food, great people, and cozy atmosphere. They have the best Hawaiian Japanese American fusion. Don't miss out on their curry fries and their lunch combos! There's a lot of different bowls plates to choose from. Some of the best are sweet chili chicken, crusted aji tuna, peppered steak, and really you can't go wrong with anything. Their macaroni salad and regular salad are dope! They're usually packed for lunch so do yourself a favor and get there a bit early or order ahead.

This is a lovely, tucked-away spot. I'm not very familiar with this type of cuisine, but I decided to give it a try one day. I thought I had overlooked it when moving to the area, but it's just a bit out of sight. The food is delicious; I ordered two main dishes along with some appetizers, and it was more than enough for both my wife and me. I will definitely be returning!

I heard about this place through word-of-mouth, so I decided to stop by, and I'm really glad I did. The staff were friendly, and the food was excellent! The portions were generous, and everything was cooked perfectly. I can't wait to try more items on the menu!

Don't be deterred by the scary looking exterior. Great prices for good food. Constant stream of large orders to go, looks like many families pick up dinner from here. Seating area is a little bare, but serviceable. The cha sui sandwich was surprisingly good!
