Ballantynes Fish Chips

Excellent service young lady behind the counter is super . Fast friendly . However the food needs some work , I enjoy curry powder but to much overpowers the hamburger with the Lott .. I think the price you pay the patty could be slightly bigger , I appreciate its homemade and cost effective. Also I don’t appreciate cabbage instead of lettuce I understand the price has gone up , but you need to advise customers of this as myself can not eat due to medical reasons . Potato cakes beautiful and golden crunchy , however the potato is still raw inside . Chips also a little undercooked and soggy Also looking into the display fridge, drinks one side and food in containers needs to be labeled/dated...

After 2 decades in the game they know their things! Fast service (high sales with good size and estimated meals. I had the burger with the lot. (Inc: egg, bacon, root pineapple. That's what I call 'The Lot! ' Snapper, Chips Salad for my wife. Both were breathtaking. I have chips for my burger. The portion was very generous. I couldn't finish her. There was a stream of customers and telephone orders. You said 15 20 minutes. It was 15. Come on. Go on!

I don't enjoy giving mixed or negative feedback but after many, many orders through Ballantynes I can only wonder why the orders placed are always either undercooked, soggy, incorrect or just thrown together? I always enjoy supporting small business and local but it is very hard to order when dealing with this when ordering?

Beautiful fish, beautiful chips, beautiful service, cold drink.... What more could we wish on a Friday after work!!! Hope that this review to the Balantynes crew will enjoy their Friday evening as I am!

Amazing foods for 24 years they know what they do to make sure chips are decent size fish is made fresh to order and they really use beef in their burgers!!! 10/10 would recommend
