I don't believe that the reviews posted for this restaurant reflect what they are now serving. The photos of the dishes that John H. posted are no longer on the menu. They are not offering what most people come to expect from a Chinese restaurant…battered, deep fried dishes with sauces and traditional stir-frys. My wife and I went for lunch to see what they had to offer. The menu is different and limited. We had the fried fish with mango sauce from the appetizer section, which contains 13 items with nothing costing more than $4.50. When I had dinner here, the first time, I was pleasantly surprised with the more unfamiliar but classic Cantonese and Sichuan dishes one doesn't find in Parksville.The fact that the kitchen prepares a braised tripe dish and a beef lung dish, as well as the main stay items , indicates that there is an Asian following worth catering to. Hence, it will be good food, well prepared with that certain quality that defines a well trained and conscientious chef. That quality is translated ,poetically enough, " Breath of the Dragon " . The fact we were the only customer was our first clue. "Boss" sitting watching a Chinese movie on iPad and we were seated at table in front of the; extremely high volume. No buffetWaitress could not speak English and could not understand " ginger ale "We decided to walk out and went to Tams.

We are visiting from Calgary and ordered delivery from this place. The food overall was excellent, the service was friendly, but what really stood out was the salt and pepper squid. Spicy as heck, but hands down the best I have ever had. I would highly recommend Bamboo Garden to anyone! Reserva una mesa ahora

The meal was tasteless, decor could use updates, food was slopped all over the Buffet wagon. Place pretty well empty except for 6 commercial fishermen.. Not going to return.. Very disappointed..

You walk in and find yourself looking at keft iver food on tables. People with colds serving with hair uncovered. It was just disturbing. Ruined a great day and our appetites.
