I love Hive because it offers up several meat free options that aren't your typical mushroom burger fodder. The small plates menu offers up various small dishes which combine into a main for one or a sharing selection for a larger group. The jalapeño poppers...are incredible probably the tastiest I've ever eat. The tricken' burger is always a great option too. The breads and dips are tasty although the avo smash was a bit of a miss for us much too smooth a texture. The staff always wear a smile and this place offers up a distinctly different vibe from others in the local area.
I was thrilled to discover a large vegan menu at this local restaurant, but unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. The burgers were bland and poorly made, falling apart with no flavor except for some lettuce. The staff seemed disinterested and we had to constantly call them over to place orders and get drinks. It was a disappointing experience and not worth visiting if you value good service and welcoming atmosphere (or good burgers).
we celebrated the birthday and had such great time with the locals and owners. drinks were complimentary and we enjoyed the burgers. the menu has change and is now more vegetarian and we do miss thinks like the little pizzas and the little meat plateau…
The Hive Bar is a hidden gem in our neighborhood. They constantly update their beer menu with new, local brews and their happy hour deals are irresistible.

Nice and bohemian place for a great craft ale or cocktail. Didn’t try the food but looked like a great menu. Lots of upstairs seating with sofas.
The bar is inexpensive and they cooked the thin beef patty perfectly. The burger was well put together and a good size for the price.
The Hive is a great spot to catchup with friends, enjoy a drink and some nibbles. Always great music (often live DJ). We love it.
I was meeting up with a mate in Erskineville and this place was recommended for their beer and cocktail selection.
