In my recent visit to this restaurant, I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Valentino, and a Hawaiian Pizza. The service was efficient and prompt, earning a rating of 4 out of 5.
The atmosphere in the restaurant left something to be desired, with intrusive music and poor lighting, scoring only a 2 out of 5. However, the food was a pleasant surprise.
The Chicken Parmigiana was slightly overcooked, but still enjoyable overall. The Chicken Valentino, on the other hand, was cooked to perfection, with juicy chicken and a delicious creamy mushroom sauce.
The Hawaiian Pizza was a hit, with the only downside being that the ham was a bit too salty. Despite this, the flavors of the wood-fired...
Only 1 other table there. Ordered drink first but had to remind waitress when drink never appeared. Arancini was nice. Ordered Ceaser salad, no chicken (as an option) but asked if the egg can be hard poached. Waitress checked with chef no problem. Salad came out with chicken. Sent it back. First egg not hard boiled Sent back. Chef not happy put the other egg he had boiled with the shell on it infront of me. Still not hard boiled. Decided not to bother having egg sent it back. This is the kicker, the waitress told me the chef made my egg and he did it as a favour The restaurant was EMPTY. Will never go back. Shocking.
I went to this restaurant for dinner with friends on a Saturday night. I ordered the Gnocchi special, which came with a delicious tomato sauce, salami, and olives. I also tried the Gamberi prawn pizza, which was decent but the base was a bit tough and the crust too crunchy. The prawn tails were left on the pizza, making it a bit of a hassle to peel them with every bite. At $30+ per person for pizza and pasta, I was disappointed with the food overall. However, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive, which was a positive aspect of our experience.
We have been to Basilico a number of times and have found it a good local restaurant. The service is friendly and good quality food. Traditional pizzas and a great selection of pastas, schnitzels and deserts. We have also enjoyed the specials of the day. A welcome addition to the great range of cuisines available in Koornang Rd Carnegie.

I called in and ordered a pizza for takeout, but when I got back home, I discovered they had given me the wrong pizza. It was especially frustrating because the pizza I received didn't align with my dietary needs. This isn't the first time this has occurred, it has happened before, but I have never brought it up until now.
What a brilliant surprise! We know Koornang Road is not the first place coming to mind for an honest Italian restaurant. Well girls and boys, time to reconsider. The food is impressive and we did try everything. But the people? The stars, great service and impressive attitude. A memorable night. You MUST!
I'm trying to visit local restaurants during this crazy time. I've been to the Basilico in Albert Park and thought I'd try Carnegie on Saturday. The girl I spoke to on the phone was very rude and messed up my order. Won't be back anytime soon
And so will you. Honest and tasty Italian food for all generations. ring your appetites along and the good people at Basilico will do the rest. You know what to expect and you will be surprised. Just wonderful.

Very pricey and confusing rates. In dine is very pricey. Not really worth it. Not many people visit this place because of this. Staff is very courteous.
A great selection of pasta, risotto and pizza in a busy local shopping strip. The staff were friendly and efficient.
