Hands down the worst meal I have ever had. First of all, the guy behind the bar forgot what we had ordered 30 mins after our original order. The waitresses were underage and had no clue how to serve people. There was a guy being sick in the corner from his chewy gammon. And they started blasting music out during our meal. The woman next to me informed the waitresses that it was the worst meal she had ever had too. Chips were overdone. Beef baguette was cheap thin slices of meat with a hard baguette roll.
Have added to my places to go. Claire was very friendly and attentive bringing toys out for our granddaughter. Beer was excellent and the Chilli off the specials menu was brilliant at a ridiculously low price. Full portion of chilli and my half and half chips/rice was incredible as either portion was more than adequate. Will definitely be going again at our next Pikering visit.

The fantastic smell of home-cooked cuisine and the ambience of a good ol' fashioned Yorkshire Inn hit us as soon as we entered. We enjoyed a fabulous meal and a smashing pint of Black Sheep. The kids food was not processed like in some places....
Absolutely will never return! They had no idea if they were serving food or not, should of been a red flag. Scallops black pudding starter came with prawns, no one informed us that would be the case we specifically ordered for the scallops....
Sorry but the food we had was very poor, I had gammon that was more like bacon, small thin and burnt underneath. My girlfriend had lasagne that was well over cooked and no chips . And that took an hour. Won't be going back.
Always been a good pub with great handpull beers for me and a warm welcome for my dog Isthatgeorgefrommarton. Only had a Sunday lunch from the menu, but very nice. Great range of entertainment and Halloween

Great place on a Saturday night made me and my wife very welcome and the landlady bought US a drink for our wedding anniversary would recommend it they make you so welcome
Not much food being served while we were in but the pub was busy with plenty of characters and the ale was reasonably cheap. Tasty beer and a good atmosphere
