Located conveniently next to my kids' kung fu class, we decided to give it a try for dinner one day. I opted for the custom option, choosing tuna, salmon, shrimp, egg, fish eggs, cucumber, and artificial crab meat. The dish was beautifully garnished with seaweed and sesame seed furikake. I was impressed by the quality of the rice at Bayside Poke, which was superior to the clumpy and overcooked rice often found in grocery store bowls. The menu at this restaurant is simple, but with all the toppings available, it can be overwhelming to choose. I opted for the Bayside Bowl and was able to swap out a couple of toppings at no extra cost. For instance, I replaced green onions with fried onions and cucumbers with edamame. I also requested spicy mayo instead of wasabi unagi sauce, which turned out to be spicier than expected. I gave them 4 stars because some pieces of tuna were chewy, but overall, the portion size was good for the price.

I ordered a regular bowl with Hamachi and Salmon and ended up getting sick! The Hamachi wasn't good at all. After taking a bite, I immediately thought it tasted off. With the next bite, I had to spit it out because it was spoiled. Unfortunately, I had to throw out my entire lunch.
