We had a very poor experience here. When I booked our table I specifically requested “inside and away from the door”. When we arrived guess what? Moved table along, but the staff kept leaving the door open when the outside temperature was only I got up and shut the door myself several times, and asked staff to close it several times to no avail. I eventually had to go and get an outside blanket, and kept my woollen coat on the whole time. Then the food: my husbands was ok but not great (pulled pork burger) but mine was inedible: the fried chicken was awful and I couldn’t even bite into it, dry as a dead dingoes donger. Even when I took the chicken out of the burger it didn’t taste good. We o...

A Friday lunchtime bought a group of friends together to Beef and Barley located nearby the Kingston Foreshore. The place wasn't that busy with my group of friends and a couple of single diners. The atmosphere is ok with decent heating and a bit of...background music playing. The menu was alright with interesting concepts like a burger high tea and a friends feast'. The menu is mainly hamburgers a few extra things like loaded fries and fish and chips are available for selection. I chose the Miss Piggy pulled beef burger a schooner of Capital Brewing Co beer for a bit over a credit card surcharge is payable. I was one of the first to order there was probably about a wait between the first ord...

Sorry Beef &Barley, this review is not favourable.....we seriously would have been happier with a drive through Hubby and I fancied a burger, wish we had not bothered. Here goes: A very mediocre welcome, find your own seat, order your own burger online, ask for...salt pepper, ask for ketchup and order your own drinks. Waitress was not rushed off her feet, the place was not busy and still she gazed into space. Food came sooooo many chips, advertised and anticipated coleslaw was basically shredded red/white cabbage no dressing to taste. Burger was deep fried but on a plus, it was piping for burgers and soft drinks. Hmmmm. Surroundings were disappointing: dirty floor, cobwebs everywhere, no dec...

First night in Canberra, this place was literally outside our front door. Easy decision. Decent range of burgers, sides and drinks. All of the food we had was good. A little slow coming out of the kitchen given there were only about a dozen or...so other customers, but was still very good. I am however confused about this place not sure if it's trying to be a restaurant (some groups were greeted at the door, orders taken at their tables as per a proper restaurant) or a more casual eatery (other groups told to find their own table and order at the register). They need to work out their process then make it clear to customers so they know what to expect. Reserva una mesa ahora

I bought the voucher from Cudo. Nice people but the quality of what was served as high tea is bad. There is food but all packet stuff and a little bit of Coleslaw. It is not what you see in the picture. All dry, shop...bought lamington, wafers and brownie for sweets. burger is a sad story. Chips is only good think out of the lot and lots of it. Should make an effort to put some home make items to get the customers come back.

Look, it was okay but I wouldn’t go out of my way to have the high tea again.. the mini burgers are fine. I feel that they should veto the dessert aspect all together, as the items were just cracked out of packets from woolies.....(Tina Wafers and HALF a lamington? I wouldn’t recommend doing the bottomless drinks with it either. You will not get your money’s worth while you’re trying to eat!

Honestly, I was curious as to what constitute high tea burger. We got mini burgers, yummy chips, chicken nuggets, cheese nuggets and dessert and two drinks. The food was super delicious, okay maybe not if you are on a diet. But, it was good....The service was super friendly and cheerful. Great location, with a water view. Highly recommended

Bought a voucher for high tea. Very expensive if you were paying full price and the food was very very okay. As previously stated some of the food was dry and small portions. The coffee was okay. I too don't think I will return. Reserva una mesa ahora

I’m happy enough to pay for a burger, but at that price I want it to be a really good burger. Unfortunately what we got wasn’t. It was fine, it had all the essentials, but I don’t think was worth the price tag.
