"Look I have been eating at this place for months. They have had a few different people running it. Current crowd is friendly, food is great (again) and the service is with a smile. Best of all the ten dollar lunches won't leave you feeling cheated.Looking forward to the depths of winter when they have the open fire running as well!"

Do Not even waste your time going near this venue! And certainly do not bother eating here! The blonde young lady who takes orders at the bistro, is extremely rude and needs an attitude overhaul! We had a large group attend for lunch. One person asked what was on the burger in which she received a loud sigh from the lady, who refused to tell her as 'I just explained it to the person before you'. She literally had to ask her friend what was on it as the employer refused to answer. Another lady presented a $50 note (as they do no accept eftpos) the lady demanded something smaller as she didn't not have enough change and 'I don't want to have to run over there (to the bar) to get enough change'. When I ordered, I asked for a simple garden salad, in which she replied it wasn't possible to do that. I ordered the Caesar salad without chicken, cheese or dressing but asked to add tomato and cucumber. This employer then began to stamp the pen into the paper and scribble and wrote aggressively, and replied 'so basically you are asking me to remake a garden salad' followed by a filthy look. Fair enough I'm sure it's extremely annoying, but there is no need to act so unprofessional and rude.

Whilst it's no longer called Benny's (I'm not sure what it is called), they've been plenty of fly-by-nighters that have operated the bistro. Most have stuck around for a few weeks and then gone. Well, there are new operators here and I think they're on a winning formula. There's now plenty of $10 lunch feeds as well as higher-priced items. Things like burgers, schnitzels, sausages and mash and fish are all there. I had the slow-cooked lamb shank with mash and greens and man was it wholesome. I'm not a fan of big, stodgy meals especially for lunch but this one was a good size. The mash wasn't lumpy and the lamb was so tender and well cooked (it was $14). I would suggest some more beans but that's about the only criticism. This is about the third time I've dined there since the new operators and both previous meals (barramundi) were great too. I know there are some bad reviews here but go back and give these meals a try.The pub itself is still pretty poor with expensive drinks and bar staff that can't get your drinks right, but just give try out a $10 lunch.

So the kitchen is not called Benny's any longer due to new people running it. This means a new menu.We went there a week or so ago to try the $10 lunch specials. They have about 6 or so to choose from. I had the steak with salad and chips. Standard fare for a pub.My meal turned up and had decent-sized rump steak. A few chips on the side and grated red cabbage were accompanying the dish. Curiously, there was also potato salad which was super creamy. Potato salad and chips? If you say so.Anyway, I started tucking into my steak and despite asking for it to be cooked medium, the things still mooing. It wasn't even close to cooked. I couldn't finish it it was that rare. If you go and choose this steak, ask for it to be cooked to a crisp. You might then get a medium steak. I'm just glad I didn't have anything chicken and I'm glad I didn't ask for the steak medium rare.I don't get why they just don't serve steak, chips and salad with a steak, chips and salad - a garden salad.

Dicey Riley's is in need of a total renovation, the place is dingy and the cleanliness is poor, needs a good cleaning. The Bistro meals are poor quality, with the dessert offered was a cold crepe with tinned fruit and tinned whip cream, the whole meal was inedible. The vinyl chairs in the bistro were torn and the tables need replacing. Not a place i would recommend to eat, not worth the time, effort or money.
