Couldn't have been any worse. The place was almost empty, but I waited every step of the way. No one on the front to put me to bring a menu to come to table to take the order, and especially to bring the food. I could see that they had no action in the kitchen, but it took almost half an hour to bring a hatch warm plate of spaghetti. My mistake not to get a meat sauce that probably had a nest, but still the Pomodoro was bland and watery. The pasta itself was ok, but a tad on the underlying side — also for someone who prefers Pasta al dente. On the easy plus side of the roof, one side Caesar was operable when a bit covered, and the signature Sporkie roles and Parmesan-in oil were great. Zero attention after the supply of food to the table. No grated cheese, no one who refills the water (which has arrived without the desired lemon wedge) or even brings a check. I had to get up and float slowly against the door so that someone could finally fall over with the bill. Look, I know that this is not a nice culinary experience under no circumstances and that restaurants such as these were hit very hard by the pandemic and a resulting economy that decimated the industry. But there are still basic boxes to check and meet standards. Most restaurants reach them. Bertucci is not. When their shops close left and right, it can be their time.
