Had dinner here last Thursday. Ordered the fish and chips and it was..... actually, quite marvelous! The fish is battered, not breaded. It's rather like beer batter but stays together better. Just the right crunch and flavor without coming across as greasy. Honestly one of the better fish and chips I've ever had. Kudos to Big Boy and the awesome servers we had. Went back for breakfast the next day and my meat-lovers omelette was delicious. Generous meat filling. Their rye toast is a must-try. Rich with a dense texture and well buttered! Ever since I moved to the area, I have been coming to this restaurant. It has the best coffee in a cozy setting in the city. The staff is always polite and friendly, and they make an effort to know and take care of their regular customers. I have tried almost everything on the breakfast menu (except for items I am allergic to) and the food always arrives promptly and is delicious. I have never had to send anything back. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in or near Alpena.

One of the best Big Boys I have ever been to! They seemed kind of busy, but our food came quick. Food was made very well and with care. Friendly staff all over the restaurant. Floors where clean, once costumers left a table, a staff member was right on top of getting it cleaned before new costumers came in. Will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

We use to love going here, but it's really gone downhill. Food quality was poor. Service was alright. The boss or whoever he was, was talking to another employee about why he split her and another girls shifts due to them not working while together was probably a conversation for the office not in front of customers Reserva una mesa ahora

the breakfast with the Christmas man was a special tasty bite for our grandchildren. our food was perfectly prepared and tasted super. thanks to the alpena big boy, santa, our excellent waitress bridget that she brings the magic of christmas to our granddaughters.

this restaurant big boy is really clean along with a super n efficient waiting staff. when I stopped at lunch, my order was taken down within 10 minutes. the food was very delicious.

The food and service at this restaurant were enjoyable. The coffee was exceptional. Unfortunately, the restroom was extremely dirty and in need of urgent cleaning.

the blockbuster breakfast was delicious and it is always a wonderful place to stop to get delicious food.

The food and service were excellent! The only drawback was that they don't open until 7am.
