Last meal with our daughter before she starts nearby University, as you can imagine it was a fairly emotional night. We were seated in the bar and ordered 2 portions of fish and chips and a plain pizza, nothing complicated, or so you would of thought. Service was very slow, looked as though there was only a young lad on duty. Food arrived fairly quickly, the fish was extremely greasy and the batter was soggy, the chips were almost at the point of being burnt, and the pizza was swimming in grease, daughter could only eat 2 slices of it. Our 9 days in Edinburgh gave us a chance to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and room service with the Neighbourhood. I am in a wheelchair which is a challenge at restaurants, but they made it easy every time we dined. Even when we were joined by our 5 other family members. Our meals were great with many choices, the prices were nice, and the staff was friendly and attentive. A highlight to on trip!
This has had a lovely refurb, great drinks, and the grub is very tasty. The bar manager has been here for years and really knows the local area, he saved our holiday with his wit and service. Fantastic

Usually free breakfasts are so so. Found this breakfast to be better than that. Serve hot breakfast and lots of options for continental.
