Bistro Bar Brise-Bise

This highly touted seafood restaurant was a great disappointment. Service was abysmal as our waitress was very scarce throughout the 90 minutes we waited for food. We were parched before finally receiving our second glass of wine; the first glass ordered 30 minutes after we...were seated. Fish of the day was a salmon filet simply prepared and acceptable. Shrimp rolls and cod cakes came with duck sauce which was odd. Calamari appetizer was great. Husband’s coquilles st. Jacques was delicious as were the barbecued baby back ribs of his friend. in the rule we do not go to pubs/taverns, but at this opportunity most other restaurants were closed. to the happiness we have booked a table a few hours before the time, as both flats of the dining room were full. the menu offers a lot to choose from a few. Asian inspired dishes. we ordered the Boulognaise/Caesar salatduo and the kung pao chicken dish. both dishes were very good and avoid frites/poutin. the lower it area seemed to be noisier as the upper area. the server we met were cheerful, helpful and efficient, although we were not looking forward to a “Pub-Abend”, we enjoyed our experience here.
