If you want something Just ask very accommodatingGood Quality Fish. I go for the Fish Burgers and they are happy to allow me to choose the fish I want.Potato Cakes are very Tasty.They are not using the cheap chip trick of frying in rendered animal fat that many fish and chip shops still get away with (Cheap and disgustingly derived oil); they are using Vegetable Oil and it tastes clean.Unlike a comment below this place looks to be very busy with the new owners.Fish Portions are generous and I recommend the grilled fish
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The portion sizes were extremely generous, the staff was friendly, and the potato cakes were delicious. My housemates and I were searching for a place that reminded us of the fish and chip shops in small towns, and Blue Sea delivered all the way down to the butcher paper wrapping. We will definitely be returning and are thrilled to have found such a great and reasonably priced spot in the area.
This fish and chip shop reigns supreme over all others. Particularly compared to the low quality food served in Oakleigh, which somehow still receives positive reviews. I have been a resident of Oakleigh for more than 40 years, and the food there is terrible. The chips are always greasy and have never been good, nor have they made any improvements. If it weren't for their location, they would have gone out of business long ago.
Your burgers would be PERFECT if you offered beetroot! Forget pineapple Aussie burgers NEED beetroot! Your fish grilled or fried is fantastic. Your chips and potato cakes too! But your burgers NEED beetroot!

My kids loved their flakes down to the last bite! I had the potato cake...yummy. None of the greasy stuff. The shop looks and smells so clean and modern. 10-15 minute wait on Saturday evening. Keep it up!
Everything is always so tasty and fresh here! Good portions as well. I always get the fishy basket, love the seafood bits : just wish they were open on Mondays and Tuesdays!
The flake was quite blend, needed more salt petter. The snapper dory were good. Chips also lacking salt but you cSn easily fix that. We also tried the burgers Pretty good!
best fish chips in the area!! nicest staff ever too. their calamari rings are always cooked perfectly and their fish always tastes fantastic. good souvis too!

This shop is spotlessly clean and the food is great! Portions are bigger than I expected and everything was cooked perfectly. It's great value for money too!
