We ate dinner here one evening and had what was the best meal we have had in Provence in the many years we have been visiting one was a lamb dish including a lamb daube, a lamb chop and a lamb sausage together with...very tasty vegetables and sauce and the other was a fillet steak with similar vegetables. It was obvious that the chef loves his work and the presentation was fantastic. The service was also excellent the (I think American who may own the restaurant) lady who served us was very helpful in explaining the menu and even though it was busy she was always pleasant and efficient. Found the L'Insolite whilst wandering through. the streets of Lourmarin. Welcoming waiters, who got us seated and drinks all very efficiently. The restaurant has an Italian theme but has a wide choice from Pizza, to steak some fish dishes etc. We both decided on the Moules Gratinée as a starter which were very good and I selected a tuna fish steak which I enjoyed as it was cooked just how I liked it. My husband chose a large salad but found it to be quite rich as it consisted of various meats and pates. Service was good just the right pace. A pleasant meal but nothing remarkable.
We visited here with some locals, so not sure if we got special treatment or not. It was a cold winter night with no outside seating, but the inside was buzzing and a wonderful atmosphere.Clearly popular with the locals.The food was fantastic with rave reviews from everybody in our party of 9.Steak Tartar was particularly popular with the Veal a close second.
We stumbled upon this restaurant and sat outside underneath the sweeping vines of honeysuckle enjoying the sweet scent and and listening to the trickling water. Service was great, food even better and the price very reasonable. For 4 people we left paying 69Euro including a bottle of wine!

Didn't look too tempting but they had a table. We are very glad they did as we had a very pleasant and reasonably priced lunch. Good ingredients and generous portions with well priced local wines. We left happy.
New brasserie to dine or have lunch in style ... food is average nothing expensive but nothing great... food is not the best from the brasserie ambiance and look are the main interests. Service okay no more.
The service staff is very friendly and the the food is not super expensive. It has a chic atmosphere and we decided to eat there twice on our stay in Provence. Always ask for the specials.
We had delicious wood fired pizzas here in a lovely shaded terrace. Friendly waiters that let us practice our French. We would definitely come back.

This is a laid-back place with friendly service and decent but hardly gourmet foodThey have dialed the TV to soccer and thrown away the remote.
On a nice evening, it's hard to beat the relaxed ambiance on the patio beneath the stars.
