I have worked in this area of TX for the past 4 yrs and never tried this place, now I'm kicking myself. Today was the 1st time. A very unique kind of setting. Kind of a buffet style place but they fix your plate. You can see the available sides at the counter when you order. I had the 2 meat plate with brisket and pork ribs, a choice of 2 sides, trash can potatoes and green beans, both were very good. I'm more of a pork eater and thought the ribs were very good along the brisket I had. Nothing wrong with the brisket but not what I usually order when eating BBQ. Had a bite of my wife's cornbread casserole and it was very tasty also. The banana pudding was delightful and all I could do to eat...

I had a late lunch on Friday and tried this place for the first time since I work nearby. I decided to give it a shot. The brisket had a nice bark and was salty with a peppery kick. It was a bit on the dry side, but it was late lunch time, so I can't complain too much. Overall, it was still tasty and tender. The sauce on the side was unique—not overly sweet, with a nice tang. The red potatoes were good, though nothing particularly special on their own. The smoked cabbage, however, was excellent, featuring generous pieces of bacon and thinly sliced sausage. The sweet tea was spot on as well. I could definitely see myself making a weekend trip from the city to enjoy this again. Next time, I'll...

What a fantastic place with an amazing atmosphere! I tried the brisket, jalapeño sausage, pork belly, mac and cheese, and trashcan potatoes. The brisket was delicious, packed with wonderful flavor and just the right amount of moisture. The jalapeño sausage offered great taste with a nice kick—it wasn't too spicy, but you could definitely feel the heat. The pork belly was also juicy and simply outstanding in flavor! The portions were generous, so we had enough to take home and enjoy later. My wife ordered the brisket baked potato, which she absolutely loved. To me, quality meat should be able to shine on its own without needing sauce for flavor, and Brazos River Brisket House nails that conce...

Hi !!!! Today we are at Brazos River Brisket !!! We are a family of four !! We stop at this location because it looks awesome!!! The decorations and the out door sitting. This is our first time eating at this restaurant.???? The barbecue souse it was way different from other locations???? The meat was Soso, not a lot of people. The staff were friendly. I think the price is a little high but that?s only my opinion. Yes I know!! Some people are going to say you?re crazy that place is the best and the price is good!!! Well that?s ok is only my experience at this restaurant. I hope my experience helps you !!! Where to go next ????? DonJJ out!!! Reserva una mesa ahora

The service was fast and friendly. I requested a sample of the potatoes, which were delicious, along with the jalapeño cabbage. The mac and cheese was fairly ordinary—nothing too remarkable. The prices are reasonable. However, the ribs were disappointing. They could be described as tough, chewy, and dry. Whatever happened to the moist, juicy, fall-off-the-bone ribs like Aunt Mary used to make? If anyone has the answer, please share!

We’ve visited this restaurant twice, and I find myself craving the brisket and macaroni regularly. The staff is consistently friendly, and the food is fantastic. The atmosphere is perfect for families. My husband is especially fond of the banana pudding. I would give it a perfect 10/10 and will definitely continue to return, recommending it to anyone in search of excellent BBQ at a great price!

Great atmosphere, very friendly service and awesome food. Love the flavorful brisket, smoked pork belly and smoked turkey. Other favorites are the corn casserole and cabbage. Big portions no complaints. Great place to sit outside under big oak trees along the Brazos River. They have live music sometimes on the weekends. Even though it says closed they are most definitely open March 2022

Finally found great BBQ! Oak smoked with lots of comfort food sides to choose from. Extremely friendly atmosphere from the servers to the owner Ernie. We will be back and bringing friends to hang out under the oak trees and listen to music or enjoy the beautiful rustic inside dining. Either way Brazos River Brisket House is a Win Win.
