Searching for a suitable place to eat in the neighbourhood I was surprised to find an Afghan restaurant with a dedicated Vegan section. That very satisfying to see and made us try this restaurant out. The interior is decorated well with some pictures of Afghan personalities and some very nice paintings. Started with Vegan Dumplings to make it vegan had yogurt on the side. They disappointed a bit as they were to tiny even for one. Too greasy for our taste. Tasted OK. The filling too less compared to the dumpling dough and made the taste too doughy. Had a Mixed Veggie and Qorma e Lubia (chickpeas and red kidney beans) dinner platters. After a very successful engagement party catered by Bread Salt, we had them cater our wedding in September 2023. Honestly, it was the best decision we ever made. Mohammed was absolutely and undoubtedly phenomenal in taking care of all our asks and expectations. We had several meetings with him to come up with the perfect menu for our event and he delivered on everything we asked and more! He was so kind to come visit our venue beforehand and provided excellent suggestions on how to best do our event. He was able to cater a mix of both Afghan and Indian food. Was pleasantly surprised by this place. As soon as you step through the front door, the atmosphere/ambiance makes it feel as if you?re in an elegant high end restaurant! Staff were extremely polite and service was quick, water was served with minutes after being seated and our food took about 10 15 minutes to arrive. I did find this place to be slightly more expensive than other Afghan restaurants that serve the same/similar food but I feel for the overall experience, it is worth it. What an awesome restaurant! I highly recommend! The place looks great and the staff was very welcoming. I went in to order and take some food to go an the person who served me was sohail he was very well mannered and treated me very good. They make the best Afghan food! It was prepared promptly plated beautifully. The portion and value you get is well matched and there will be enough for seconds! Great work! I'm looking forward to eating here more often. I recently dined at Salt and Bread Afghan Cuisine, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The food was not only delicious but also showcased the authentic flavors of Afghan cuisine. The warm and welcoming ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The service was incredible, earning this restaurant a well-deserved 5-star rating. Ordered two chapli kebab wraps for takeout, it’s too shaggy due to lots of water in pickle/stuff inside and messed up the wraps. kids not liked it) *Might be good if I dined in)keep in mind for take out orders to minimize the watery portion inside.On positive note, shop interior is too good and staffs are friendly.Nice atmosphere for dine in.
After order online for pickup, I was lied to by the staff saying my meal would be ready in 3min. I waited about 25min and was given a soda for the wait but the food wasn't worth it. It was cold and flavorless. I won't ever be back here. It's not worth the time and money. McDonald's would have been a better option.
