06/06/2023. Dropped by to pickup lunch for 3. I really like the place. It’s sort of hard to find a parking spot. We parked across the street by the church. We were getting takeout so no problem. If you plan to dine-in I suggest you watch the clock as the parking patrol checks regularly. The place is not that big but the size fits the area. The selection is very good. We were given options for our Burritos which was nice. The portion is I just right at least for me. Lots of flavour and well worth going to. The only thing was a customer had a dog not on a leash. Mexican food has integrated itself in the daily cuisine. And Burrito Del Rio is an embodiment of why that is the case. This Mexican food shack has by far the best burrito in Winnipeg. Their prices are pretty much the same as all other franchise Mexican corners. The difference being the self made ingredients the perfect combination of stuffing. They load the burritos to the max. It's just so fulfilling. I tried chicken burrito and the chicken was just so juciy and flavorful. The tacos ? they are nothing less than the burrito again since the same ingredients it all blends really well. Definitely a staple Mexican place in Winnipeg and a must try.
So much yes. You walk in and you just know the food is going to be damn good. And for my first time here, it did not disappoint. I got the Barbacoa burrito and was feeling a little hungry so I got the large. And large it was! I felt like it could feed 3 people. Customize your own food, spice it up to your taste and liking. The food will leave you satisfied and maybe a little gassy for the next few days!
This place is amazing and so authentic, what a hidden gem! We're from out of town and came two days in a row to make sure we got to try everything on the menu! You can taste the love and that it's homemade with every bite. If I could give more stars I would! Tl

With some fair experience in genuine Mexican food back home, I came here from out of town and was impressed. Good authentic taste, great service. There was a line out the door so I figured it’d be good. Nice big burrito filled with all the goodies.
Got their beef and shrimp tacos. Nothing too special, the portion is decent tho. About 10$ for 2 tacos after tax. I think the taco place at Outlet Mall food court is better ?

Had 24 hours in Winnipeg and was glad I had lunch here. Portions were enormous, service was friendly, and it felt like the place to be.

Nice flavors, everyrhing tasted fresh the fresh limes was a welcome surprise. Happy it wasn't just piles of rice like some places do.
Finally got down to this location. Was not disappointed. Very tasty burritos. Will be back.
