Just the two of us out for dinner, and we both realised we had not been to JOEY in awhile. It's a bit pricey, expect to pay $40 for two before drinks appetizers or desserts. Not cheap, but unbelievably tasty! The burger was Angus beef, very tender, perfectly done and no gristle at all! The bun was fresh and fabulous...it's amazing how many restaurants try to pass off a burger on a flat, dry or plain bun. Not here!! We also tried the Baja fish tacos which were perfect! Lots of veggies, and the sauce was very much like a blend of Heinz 57 and something spicier, couldn't quite place it, but definitely familiar. Overall we had a great lunch. Sitting on the patio with a nice summer breeze now that's the way to dine. We lucked in and got a great seat out there. I asked about reserving a seat outside and they said not a problem as long as it's not busy. Okay, so help me here, why else would I reserve..........Anyway, the Butcher's sandwich (thinly sliced roast beef on a bun) was very good. I asked for med rare and the beef was perfect. I was very impressed both with how tender the beef was and the freshness of the bun. The Ahi tuna salad was also a hit. The tuna was beautiful and tender. Full of flavour. that was bombing what I can say, I have a burger and loved it. the crispy cheek, which was also bomb, tried. but we sat in one stand and the cocktail menu was as nasty as the side and all. I worked 8 years in kitchens in front of the house and back of the house, even though I didn't work at the fancies of places that was not acceptable. it is a little expensive here too, so I know that they are striving to compete with ears and the crippled would be nice to see this next time not I am in as will be for me again.
I went to Joey's for dinner with 5 others, and the experience could not have been better. The service was great, and they even seated us early (10 minutes before our reservation because we arrived a bit early). The servers were awesome, knowledgeable about their products, friendly, and efficient. Food quality was great. We all left satisfied, and the staff kindly let us stay as long as we wanted. Would go back again next time I am in Winnipeg!

this was our first visit and found the atmosphere well, the service was excellent. we had three different appetizers that were all good. the terrace is such a cooler place with a dach that opens. the only reason I had there was a...4 instead of a 5 was because they have very small beer glasses compared to most places, so if their out for drinks it becomes expensive.
All 4 of us enjoyed the food here. I had the ravioli with lobster cream and prawns which was delicious. We shared the lettuce wraps which were also very good. We sat on the patio there was a 21st birthday get together going on but...it didn’t intrude on our enjoyment. House wine was inexpensive and tasted just fine.
best service had for a long time. served us a birthday cake and great attention to detail. all meals very good including appetizers. Steak and salmon were excellent and the potatoes were wrapped in a thin pastry.....very tasty way to serve a potato side.
Stopped in for a quick beer with friend after a movie. We just sat in lounge which is a bit dark, it was late afternoon. They have a good selection on tap, the bar area is quite impressive. Service was good, all in all nice place to enjoy a drink.

beautiful atmosphere, eating is always great (I recommend the beach salad), good specialties like wein Wednesday (half bottles plus food specialties) and the service is always good and can not go wrong!
Stopped for lunch and had a beef dip. Found the liquid smoke while interesting a little over powering in the au jus! Service was friendly and fast.
