We were excited to try this restaurant as we had never eaten here before. It was an early reservation, therefore we were seated promptly. Then a few minutes later a group of 12 or so sat next to us. Unfortunately, they were so loud with their talking and drinking that we could not carry on a conversation. It was miserable so I had asked to be moved. Manager came to apologize, the loud loud table of drinkers did quit down a little but we struggled for two hours. Surprising with this high end of a restaurant there are people who don’t know how to drink and be respectful of others in the same space. Enjoyed the food but would have been much better if conversation could have been better enjoyed...
I recently had another amazing experience at Butcher and Singer Steak House! This restaurant is always our top choice for special occasions, and they never disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Speaking of the menu, I highly recommend the filet it was cooked to perfection and incredibly flavorful. And let's not forget about the sides they are just as delicious as the main courses! I always leave feeling satisfied and happy with my dining experience. If you're looking for a great steakhouse, I definitely recommend giving Butcher and Singer a try! I look forward to our next visit celebrating...
I am very happy with my Butcher and Singer experience. The dining room is just amazing, with these early 1920s vibes and the high ceilings. The food is focused on well-prepared, high-quality ingredients that are cooked perfectly. The flavors are approachable, as the menu indicates, and the prices are right for the quality and quantity of food. The buttermilk biscuits are a nice touch for their bread service, very fluffy indeed. We had the Delmonico, the Tomahawk, the hushbrown side for starch and the brocolini and the heirloom carrots from the vegetable sides. We concluded our meal with the baked alaska and the chocolate fudge cake, that I personally loved. I would surely visit again.
Everything was great except I did not feel that the quality of the food matched the cost. My son got the Delmonico steak which was delicious. I got the bone in fillet mignon and it was chewy and not very flavorful. My husband got the salmon which was just OK he said. I'm going to put that I would recommend it to a friend but probably just for cocktails.

Loved everything about this place. Best steak I ever had! Ambience/lighting was good, valet parking garage next door, waiter/service was fantastic, pricing was fair and did I say it was the best steak we ever had! Can’t forget the biscuits and dessert! Will definitely be going back!
Second visit after one year and once again no disappointment. Good service, friendly staff, excellent meat and a nice overall athmosphere are always a guarantee for a nice evening. Shall I ever be in Philly again, I would visit this restaurant for the third time!
Absolutely phenomenal. Sociable and professional bartenders, excellent server Ricky made us feel like celebrities, presentation was great. Biscuits are unlike anything I’ve ever had in my life
My family brought me here for my birthday dinner, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The food, the service, and the ambiance were all top-notch.
