There may be one issue that some people would not like the long bench seating along three walls with a sizable table and two chairs opposite. This restaurant has been around since and for good reason. Restaurant was busy! Vaccination cards and photo ID required. We were so happy to see that Joel was working and was our server for the evening! He always makes things special. Chorizo and corn...soup was as tasty as ever. Loved the daily butter that came with the bread……and for good reason. It was Fett Chili butter! Salads were good and of a generous size…..both the Caesar and the house. The rack of lamb was tender and cooked to perfection. And the Fett Chili was HOT and outstanding! Wine was amazing! What a great restaurant!
Have been to Cafe Carlo several times and always a great experience. Today we were there for a twofold celebration and were a disappointed. We had told our guests how great the place was. Sadly out of our entrees were extremely highly salted....When I mentioned this to the waitress she said nothing at all. I said we weren’t going to send them back but she should pass this along to the chef as he should be aware. Way too much salt. In any case we made the best of it but we were disappointed today On a positive note the creme brulee was delicious.
We hosted a dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We didn't want to cook so we ordered from Cafe Carlo. Seven people ordered seven different entrees and all were delicious! We always allow that given travel time the food may not be as high...quality as when you eat the restaurant, but we did not find that to be true. Everything was of the highest quality. Dined on a Friday night, service was our only option as we only booked that day. Just to give you an idea how popular this little food gem is. Great selection of local beer, wines and cocktails. We enjoyed appetizers, calamari mussels. Entrees...their famous fett-chile gnocchi. Dessert was the creme brule, all were very delicious. The service was fantastic. I highly recommend this delicious gem.
In these times, somehow you needed some comfort food and a sense of normalcy. We phoned and ordered dinner tonight and enjoyed Fett Chili, Caesar salad, fresh baguette with herbed butter. Although we dined in our home, we enjoyed the flavours of the restaurant and...we felt good. Thank you Cafe Carlo for helping give us a much needed date night!
Cafe Carlo never disappoints. The specials are always interesting and the food off the menu is excellent. Great local fare. Always something new on the menu. Great wine list. Perfect for gluten free food as well. We come several times a year. A must try...for locals and visitors alike.

Fantastic meal and service! We enjoyed the calamari appetizer, seafood penne entree and creme brûlée for dessert. We highly recommend Cafe Carlo!
