A nondescript building in an industrial area with decor that is well eccentric. You need to focus on the food. The price fix menu $44/person includes salad soup, appetizer, main course and an amuse Bouche dessert. The food is unique Maybe Latino...French fusion would best describe. I had a chicken cheddar roll that was almost like a large taquito. Cheesy goodness. Followed by rack of lamb with black cherry reduction and roasted beets. Such flavour cooked perfectly. we thought that cafe dario was part of “Dine about Winnipeg”, but when we arrived, we learned that they had decided. if they do not expect to pay a fixed priced period of $49 per person, it is a bit stunning. next time, call them and make sure that the restaurant is in the restaurant feature. So, now we sit and see what happened. we climb up and go or just “go with the river”. we decided to stay. the meal was excellent, the server very knowledgeable. I'd dindicate here definitiw, but I'd be ready to pay the price before the time.
We came here for the first time as our last stop on Dine About Winnipeg week. We chose from the $28 3 course dinner. Presentation is spectacular and food equally tasty. Great service too. The only thing keeping me from giving the place 5 stars...is that our view out the window overlooks a grey industrial building across the street and inside is a little cramped and dated. However I only take a half star off for that (too bad Trip Advisor doesn't give option for a 4 1/2 star rating.
we celebrated our 48th anniversary at dario’s last Sunday evening. everything was great! the service, the food, the ambiente and the visits of dario itself! we used the Sunday evening special and our surprise were allowed to take an appetizer and choose a escape. suppensalat and dessert were also included as well as a beautiful bottle of wine! we would definitely recommend this cozy little restaurant!

Great restaurant, we were greeted by the owner. Very cozy and homie feeling. Food is Latin American- Colombian. Price is great and includes one appetizer, soup, salad, entree and dessert for $55 each. Great selection of wine and great environment.I had the lam chops and they were amazing. My girlfriend got the salmon and it was very tasty as well.
Dishes were solid, and the value can not be beat. They had a server no show the night we were there, but Dario never missed a beat. He may be happier in the kitchen, but our service was as full of laughs and we never lacked for attention. Great night had by all!
The service is second to none, ambiance is quaint, food choices are well varied and the 3 course dinner feature a nice touch. The food quality and taste superb. The portions were on the small side given the price, in my opinion.
Set menu small portions. I'd rather pay $60 for an entrée I want instead of a bunch of small courses. Waiter was rude.

Amazing food, one set price and large multiple course meal. Very highly recommended. The Chef is superb.
